I previously had a membership to this gym, but due to not driving, and living in North Bend cancelled the membership years ago. A co worker of mine recently joined this gym, and I was interested into looking into this club as I do now drive, but was very disappointed by my experience. I went online to look into their gym pass for a 1 day trial. I was REQUIRED to provide an email address for the pass to be sent to, which I did. I printed the pass off, went with my coworker to the gym, had to wait to be set up and get a sales pitch. After working out I was considering joining the gym again, but they now have a $50 annual membership fee, which is ridiculous to me, I would be paying a monthly fee so WHY do I also need to pay a membership fee? the initiation fee is supposed to cover the wear and tear the machines get, but regardless I find this ridiculous as NO gym I have toured before has this! I then started getting spammed daily with emails from 24 hour and even though I unsubscribed, and was advised it can take up to 10 days, a month later I was still getting spam. One of the emails I received happened to be a survey request, and a lucky winner would get a 1 year membership but EVERYONE who participated would get a free month. I thought GREAT I will really get to try out this gym, so I did the survey, received my email pass for the 30 day membership and about a month later, yesterday 6-20-16, went in to redeem the pass. When I arrived a friendly young lady had me log into a computer with name and DOB and asked me to wait for a manager to help set up this pass. About 5 minutes later she checked back in as I was still waiting, apologized for the wait and said Spencer would be there to help me shortly as the manager was tied up on the phone. Spencer came out to help and said that because I had used the 1 day pass I was not eligible for the 30 day pass. He said he would check with his manager to see if there is anything he can do. When he and the manager came back, the manager, a woman whose name started with an M Maureen? said she cannot honor the monthly pass, and even showed me the computer system and how it will not let them apply this pass because I had redeemed another pass recently. She did offer to give me 1 free month IF I signed up for a membership. I politely declined and explained my frustration. I only knew about the survey because the emailed it to me, and the only reason they have my email is because I got the 1 day pass. WHY SEND ME AN EMAIL IF I AM INELIGIBLE. My BIGGEST problem with this offer is THEY SENT IT TO ME. and NO WHERE on the 30 day pass does it say I am not eligible if I had received another pass. This club only cares about $$$$$ and does not stand by an offer they extended. If the fine print had simply said IF YOU HAVE REDEEMED A PASS WITHIN THE LAST xxx YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE or something like that, I would never have wasted my time to try and redeem this offer. I did read the fine print prior to going to the gym to ensure that I would be eligible, but BUYER BEWARE they do not stand by...

The first visit to this gym was a late weekday evening and we were told that managers leave by 7pm and only managers could redeem the guest passes. I ended up paying for two guest passes for my kids at $10 each. Signed on a clipboard because they were under 18.
Today, we arrived around 5:30pm so we can make to be there before 7pm so my kids can use their guest passes. I get told by a different front desk person that the manager is not there but will be back in 45 mins and we have to wait. Iām like wow, I canāt wait I have to take my youngest to soccer and asked if I can just sign something now and my kids can wait for the manager. The front desk person said no immediately. No other solution was provided.
So then, I ask if I can buy guest passes instead as I had to get going to take my youngest to soccer. She goes āok, are you their parent?ā And I respond with āyes.ā (Btw, my kids are biracial and I am white) She then goes ādo you have proof? Like a birth certificate???ā š³š³š³
I go āa BIRTH CERTIFICATE? Do you ask everyone that?ā She goes āyes, itās required.ā So I go āitās required? How come I didnāt have to provide that last week!? Are you asking this because they look different from me?ā She goes āno, itās policy.ā Iām like ādo you have kids?!ā She responds āno.ā I then say āok, so Iāll tell you right now, no parent is carrying their childās BIRTH CERTIFICATE on then randomly. Iāve worked at a gym before, there is no reason you need a birth certificate. Why are you being so difficult?! Are you racist? This is insane.ā
She finally goes, āfine, Iāll let you get the guest passes. Thatāll be $25.ā So I give her $25 in cash, and she goes ā$25 EACH.ā So then Iām like, āhow is it $25 each and last week it was $10 each.ā She goes āI donāt know.ā Obviously, continuing to be difficult. Nor was it taxed like it was last time, so not sure if she pocketed the money at this point or not.
Really not a good look unless this establishment is racist and lets racists work there. She also had ZERO knowledge on customer service. Absolutely difficult for no reason and did not provide any solutions or other options. Definitely will no longer consider getting a membership here. I thought I was stuck in 1945 or something. Totally...

UPDATE 7/8/2023: Almost fell down the tile stairs to the pool area due to loose/broken tiles Showers have only lukewarm water. All the problems I listed below are getting even worse. STEAMROOM is still broken, was told they have the part but nobody to fix. The HOT TUB is now broken as well. There's no jets, just hot water. GAL at the desk was rude and unfriendly. Embarrassed me Infront of my guest with her tone, unprofessionalism and lack of interest in her job. We were bothering her during her internet phone time.
UPDATE 6/30/2023: THEY STILL HAVE NOT FIXED THE STEAM ROOM! Trash cans over flowing Dirty floors, elevator, steps going up to gym and down to pool. (Tile stairs going to pool area a lawsuit waiting to happen) Asked the gentleman at the desk how to get on their complementary wifi because my phone service is non-existent while inside the gym and he didn't have a clue.
ORIGINAL POST 6/25/2023: I'm a little upset.... I paid almost $400 for a year platinum member ship, in cash, to find out there was several promos I wasn't given/offered. I got a walk through, looked nice but everytime I go (late at night) the place is a wreck! The pool is dirty(adding chlorine to the pool is not cleaning!) the showers are dirty (soap scum, hair) the dispensers are out of soap, the sauna smells like dirty feet, hair in all the drainsš¤®, the stairs going up to the gym are nasty, the elevators are dirty, most of the trash cans are full or over flowing. And the night staff doesn't care, they are playing on their phones or working out... Last time I was there to swim in the dirty pool, I had to clean the downstairs bathroom so it was decent enough to shower and change in! It's gotten to the point I bring my own household cleaners and paper towels to clean up before I'll use anything bathroom/shower/locker room related... The steam room has been out of service for over a month, they have it posted that it's supposed to be in working order in late june-its the 1st of July today-hopefully it's been fixed....,
