Ok so yesterday was a big day for me. First let me say that I'm a 29 year old female with hair that comes to my lower back. I've always had long hair and been terrified to let anyone do anything drastic to it. I've probably only color-treated my hair maybe 10 times in my entire life. However, recently I have decided that I want CHANGE and I started looking into getting a perm. I read several reviews online since I didn't have a salon and I found this one. First I called on the phone to ask questions about a perm and the receptionist (Shawn's wife) sorry I can't remember her name right now, made me feel so comfortable on the phone and had complete confidence that her husband could give me what I was looking for. She suggested I come in for a consult and bring pictures of what I like and he would tell me straight up whether it was able to be accomplished on me.

I went in for my consult and he looked at my hair. Tested the elasticity and went over all of my options. Asked me why I wanted a perm and all the right questions. The thing I liked best about this was that he was straight up and didn't sugar coat anything. He didn't tell me that he could make the pictures happen because of the length and weight of my hair but he told me what he could do and the price was super reasonable.

Last night I had the perm done and it took around 4-5 hours to do the entire process. Normally, I would be freaking out in this situation because I'm always terrified they are going to mess up my hair. But Shawn was so easy to talk to and laid back that I wasn't focused on the fact that I was making such a drastic change. They offered me water, coffee, and even donuts while I was sitting in the chair. The atmosphere was just wonderful!

After it was all taken out and styled I am like a brand new person. At first I wasn't sure if I liked it but he definitely did a wonderful job. Once I got home and had some time to get use to it. I think I'm in love!! The service here was beyond anything I would ever expect. At the end Shawn gave me a discount on the product he suggested I use and then after I left and got in my car he came out and knocked on my window to give me some special shampoo for my newly curly hair for FREE!!

I don’t even really want to give this one star because you don’t deserve it after one of your stylist ruined my hair! I’ve had bad hair service before but by far this was the worst! I showed Shay or whoever she was the style I wanted and the kind of color I wanted but she just looked at it and was like hmmm - like she didn’t care for it! She didn’t really examine my hair but right away recommended highlights instead! I freakin came out with orange highlights! And my hair was still full of gray!!! She did not comb my hair out completely to remove the tangles before she started doing the highlights! Then when she washed it- she only did the shampoo once and conditioner! She didn’t thoroughly washed it. Then when she started cutting the hair - she only snipped about half an inch from the ends ! She didn’t comb it out again to remove tangles and proceeds to cut it that way - with freakin tangles!! I seriously wanted to get up from the chair and not let her dry it! But I let her which was a big mistake because all she did was blow hot air thru it!!! Didn’t even try to style it!!! The other stylist could see by then how upset I was getting! I was so upset I came out crying from this place!!! Then you tell me she has 20 yrs experience??!!! Really!?? I will never go there again even if you were the last...

Julie was HORRIBLE! She gave me HOT ROOTS then had the audacity to get an attitude with me because I said something about it! Then she mentioned she put violet in my hair for the low lights when I specifically said NOT to do that! I asked why did you do this? Her answer was it's what I thought was best...OMG WHAT!! My roots were strawberry blonde! I asked for a beautiful brown red like chestnut with some darker low lights. The only reason I am giving 1 star is because and God bless him "Shawn" I believe did his best to fix it although it did not really work because you can't put color on color. Some of you know what I mean. So $185 later I still had strawberry blonde roots. My hair was dry after I washed it 2 days later even after paying $30 for the Olaplex, it got washed right back out because of trying to fix what she did. It was an absolute HORRIBLE experience, waste of money and time!! Julie's attitude towards me made it all that much worse as if how dare I complain and looked me straight in the eyes and said my roots were brown red with a weird half smile as if she took joy in the fact that she screwed up my hair! Unbelievable! I tried to appeal to her sensibility and said come on Julie this is strawberry blonde and I got an eye roll! The whole thing, time, money etc was AWFUL...
