Poor management. Have been a customer for years, and invested thousands in this hobby lobby. Bought all decorations for family weddings, anniversaries, and all home decor for my home and previous homes from here. Recently bought knobs for a home I was flipping, and in the chaos.. lost my receipt. Spent close to 60$ ...thinking I would return the knobs that didn't match.. as I was only keeping 3. I was not concerned with purchasing them at sale price for the quantity I was getting. When I went back to try to return them.. I was told I would only receive half of what I paid.. And only as "in store" credit. I have spent far too much money at this store.. And been a faithful customer to be treated as such. I have even walked back in the store to pay for items the cashier's have missed. And yet I am treated as such. Yes, its not a huge amount of money, but to have faithfully supported this store for years, and yet have this happen.. i cant even say how unhappy i am. I will never return to this store and will cease to support this hobby lobby. This is such a disappointment when I have spent so much money at this store.. to receive such poor customer service. Even Wal-Mart has given better customer service. And that says something. Thank you for making me feel great regret for ever having supported this store even once. And as manager, I know you could have done more, but apparently faithful paying customers mean nothing...
Read moreWe love this store, but the checkout process can be a real challenge. Today it was a nightmare. I went to Hobby Lobby #301 for a small purchase -- a small bottle of Testors model paint ($2.69). Only two checkout lanes were open. The front-end supervisor called for Melissa to open up. It was quite a while before Melissa actually came to the front of the store. Two long lines had formed, and I was waiting longer than most of the people in the second line. Melissa points to her register and then tells another customer, who had just entered a line, that she would check her out. By that time, I was standing at her register. She looked at me and said that she would checkout the other customer first. I politely stepped aside, and watched as this customer had a MUCH larger order than my single item. When it was my turn, I asked Melissa why she did that. She said she "took the next customer." I told her I was the next customer and had been waiting much longer. She didn't say a word. I also told her I was immunocompromised and needed to checkout ASAP. One bottle of Testors paint would have been a quick transaction. Nothing. I would have been better off if Melissa stayed on break. Clearly, she'd rather do that than provide exceptional customer service. Please, Melissa, when you approach the front of the store and there are two long lines, you don't pull the last person from the...
