Greenstop Dispensary — Attraction in Jersey City

Disappointing Quality and Terrible Customer Service I'm writing this review to warn other patrons, especially those who are regular customers and experienced cannabis users like myself, about my recent experience at Green Stop Dispensary in Jersey City. As an experienced grower, I was looking for a quality product and was very specific about my needs before making a purchase. I bought 3.5g of Moon Boots by The Essence Flower, an indica hybrid. Before purchasing, I asked the staff if this brand's flower had a lot of leaves that needed trimming. I was assured that it did not. Unfortunately, this was not the case. When I got home, I had to trim off about .5g of excess leaf from the bud. This was incredibly disappointing, as it meant I paid for product I couldn't even use. Feeling misled, I went back to the dispensary to see if they could make it right. Instead of offering a solution or even an apology I was practically kicked out, given no accommodations, and was even told I could face legal trouble for bringing the product back to their attention. The lack of quality control and the absolutely appalling customer service have convinced me not to return. Disgustingly overpriced. The CHEAPEST 1/8th available is almost $50. Both Ascend (Rochelle Park), and The Hashery (Hackensack) regularly have 1/8ths of similar quality for low $20s with the Hashery having prices as low as $17. And if the owner responds with the quality vs price argument, remember it's cope. What they have on the shelf (even if it's top shelf) is not worth the more than 2x price increase. They are sorely mistaken if they are inflating prices due to thinking there isn't competition around. Because there definitely is. Hackensack isn't that far from this dispensary's location, and the drive will be definitely worth the discount.

Edit: Owner responded with the predicted argument. NO WEED SMOKER CARES ABOUT WHAT GROWER THE STRAIN CAME FROM. We care about three things (in order from most important to least): Price THC % Terps Most small businesses don't survive 5 years out, and with these prices and no budget weed option, this dispo is doomed. Hands down one of the best dispensaries I’ve been to.

I walked into Greenstop to check on my job application and pick up a half-ounce of Green Gardens flower and I was honestly impressed from the start.

The variety here is insane. They have everything, and what really sets them apart is that they actually let you see, smell, and feel the bud before buying. None of the other dispensaries on Tonnelle Ave offer that level of transparency.

The bud tenders were amazing super knowledgeable and friendly. They recommended two high-THC strains and even helped me pick out a concentrate. I ended up going with one from Space Jumper, and just like the budtender said, it was clean and smooth.

Best part? I walked out with a 30% discount, two eighths, one concentrate, and they even threw in a free cart and battery. For the first time ever, I didn’t feel like I got robbed walking out of a dispensary. These people truly care about the customer experience.
