Let me start by saying that Sporting Park itself is amazing and of course I'm a huge Sporting KC fan. But I have to say that as a Season Ticket Member, I'm pretty disappointed. My husband was one of the first people to buy a season ticket when they were available and we have been season ticket members ever since. Our first rep was amazing. She was great at communicating and making you feel like there was actually some advantage to being a season ticket holder. But last year our rep changed, and the guy we have now is absolutely horrible. There is no communication - and let me explain what I mean by communication. At the last game one of the entire parking lots was shut down due to some gravel being dumped there. As a result, even though we supposedly have STM parking, we had to park all the way down in front of the race track (1.8 miles back and forth from the stadium). And when we got closer to the park, there was an entire parking lot nearly empty (5 minutes before game time). They could have communicated by email earlier in the week about the parking situation so that we would know to arrive early. And second, the parking attendants clearly had no idea what they were doing. These are just a couple of example, but it seems like since the stadium is sold out now the sales reps couldn't care less about their season...
Read moreSo we live down in Joplin and this was our first experience with MLS. First thing is that the area is absolutely beautiful and very clean. Parking is plentiful for both free and paid which is pretty rare in the sports world. There are bathrooms around every corner and they’re massive. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. One of the most impressive parts of the park is the “vendors” I’ve been to a lot of sporting events and I’ve never seen such fast service. At least in our case, we were able to walk right up and order with an extremely low wait time…like pretty much instant. It’s so good that you gladly tip on every purchase, didn’t even think twice. Cashless ftw. We sat in the Cauldron about 3 rows back and the view was phenomenal while both sitting and standing. Children’s Mercy Park is a blueprint that should be followed by all event spaces, we’ll...
Read moreBeautiful night watching Sporting KC. Fun to see the players, enjoy the fireworks, be in the competitive atmosphere and get a WIN!
The burnt-end sandwich was awesome it came with bbq chips and I quenched my thirst with a tasty tall KC Bier. My meal was put into a closed box and placed into a paper bag. Previously, before Covid-19, it was in an open paper-tray. I like the new way.
Due to Covid-19 we are all going through the new norm and Children's Mercy Park did a great job with the staggered time of entry, pod area seating and signs to ensure fans were wearing masks.
The security team I saw were professional and working hard to enforce the mask rule and safety of the patrons.
Let's keep Sporting KC playing and Fans...
