I went to get a haircut at this location recently hoping to get some length removed and some light layers added to my hair, but instead I left the salon in tears after I saw what the stylist did to my hair. My hair was slightly past my shoulders when I went in for my hair cutting appointment and as I sat in the chair the stylist started to get me ready for a haircut before even asking me what I wanted and not realizing I had scheduled extra time to have it washed, after her almost starting the haircut before the wash she had me go over to the tub and without asking me my hair type or how often it gets oily she puts a random shampoo on my head and when I ask if this is good shampoo for oily hair she said yes it's perfect and it only takes two years of using it to make your hair not oily. I said no thanks to the product and she led me back to the chair where I almost felt better because she started to do a consultation and flip and fold my hair away a few different times to show me how short it would be, I told the stylist that the way she showed me was way too short for what I wanted and she did not verbally respond to me and just nodded so I thought it was a mutual understanding that we would just be doing the trim and layers to lighten my hair a bit, I should've went with my gut feeling and left that salon before I even checked in, because the stylist i was with obviously did not understand what i was saying by trim and layers because she pulled out a shaver with no guard on it and shaved the back of my hair, I specifically told her and pointed out where I want the longest hair to land and I pointed to the middle of my neck. There was no going back now so she just finished shaving the rest of my length off and started cutting away. My stylist was also told to keep the length around my ears so I could still give them a cute curl but nope that was not done either. I left the salon with an awful haircut that looked like a pushed back bowl cut. I recommened you speak very loudly and double check and triple check your stylist before they start cutting to make sure you're on the same page because Elena obviously wasn't on the same page as me, she ruined my hair and made me look very boyish. I am super disappointed with my hair. I feel like my stylist listened to absolutely nothing I said. I have added one photo below of my hair before and then I have also added a few photos of...
Read moreI brought 2 ladies with disabilities in for haircuts. I didn’t get the stylist’s name, but she is a black woman, but that fact has nothing to do with this review. She was straight up RUDE to the ladies and myself. I showed her pictures of what was wanted, and for the first lady she barely did a trim. When I asked her to go shorter she replied, “I did it just like the picture you showed me!” For the second lady, she had me hold her head still (she has tremors) while she did part of the cut, and complained saying, “don’t wait so long next time, because her shaking makes it hard for the stylist.” I’m sorry, but it’s YOUR job to do the haircut, and not for me to assist you throughout it. She pushed on both ladies’ heads when they had difficulty putting their heads in different positions, and would sigh in frustration. She said to me, “I don’t think they understand what I’m telling them to do.” She also asked me if I had to assist one of them in the bathroom, as they went in the bathroom. I told her no, but the question shouldn’t have even been asked. As their caregiver, I know their needs, and it’s none of her business to inquire. It was overall a bad experience, and we will not be back. I hope this stylist learns how to appropriately address and serve those with disabilities and their caregivers....
Read moreBeen there with my 2 boys for their haircuts. My little one hade a fade, that turned out good. My eldest, had no luck. He had long hair, and I showed his hair to the hairdresser, because last time he cut his hair at another salon they did not do a good job and left his hair with a lock of hair shorter and tried to hide it, and the ends of the hair were turning up. I showed a picture of the length of the hair we wanted, explained what we did not want. The result was terrible. A very short hair, and complete different cut. I don’t like to leave reviews like this, but a hairdresser needs to be conscious when it comes to making big changes (specially that the costumer did not want). She had to cut and then check if she could go further, and not cut most of my kid’s hair and then show the result. At first she said “Oh it’s his hair!” I said “no, it’s not”. Then she said she wanted to even the whole hair to that shorter lock of hair from the previous mistaken cut. Everybody makes mistakes, but don’t blame the kid’s hair. My son spent the whole day crying and not recognizing himself. Good thing that hair grows. But horrible service. Will never be going back or...
