I really don't like writing bad reviews, but this has been on my mind, as family got us this room, based on reviews. People need to know that 1 time posters have to start somewhere, but when there are horrible reviews, from a major poster, and then GLOWING reviews from someone who joined that day. I am not against 1 time posters, but when all the reviews are not good, except the ones that joined THAT day to write a glowing review.|First of all, the doors make huge banging sounds when closed, reminded me of a jail cell (only what i have seen in a movie). Very loud, all night, and day.|Very dirty floors and people had written on the walls, and there was over 100 paint spots, trying to cover up the scuffs, but in a different sheens, eggshell vs matte. I mean , can't anyone see that? Looked like a dalmation dog!!|There were balls of something floating around, and were still floating when we left. When you turn on the shower (people have commented on this) you have to stick your whole arm inside the shower (gets you wet each time) as one side of the glass is fixed. Really a big flaw. The floor is so slipper in the shower, i asked for a mat (and i mean Slippery) and they had stacks of them, all brand new. Other people have asked many times, they said. I went to use a tissue, and purple tissues came out. You could tell some cleaning brush had set on the tissue holder, and the chemical liquid dripped in. I went downstairs to get a new tissue box. The old one was never removed,, as the room NEVER got cleaned.|So we had a huge pile of towels in our room the whole 4 days. The beds need velcro on them, as they slide off the platform, they are really futons.|Someone in the elevator said their room was filthy and a party had been in there, as the balloons were taken down, just not the tape on the ceiling.!!!|The neighbors left their TV on on high, (the front dest went in) and left. The noise was unbearable and when i went down to see if the front dest could see what was going on, the other neighbors were leaving as the child was so scared because of the noise. There is so much more that went on that night...|So , since we were there for 4 nights, they promised they cleaned on day 2...came home from Thanksgiving dinner and the room was still a mess, At least we were hoping they would take the towels, dirty tissue box and everything else. I politely asked the front dest (he was nice) about cleaning the room..."well, it's Thanksgiving"...so.....i work in the service industry and i never got Thanksgiving off. EVER!!! And they nice front dest person said he had cleaned 24 rooms that day, but i mentioned, not ours!!|It was one of the worst experiences ive ever had, and as you can see by my reviews, i am well traveled. The front dest gave our dear son in law, who used points for our stay, a few points back, not even enough for them to use for a night elsewhere. Amazing .....|Most of the time, there was no one at the front desk and the whole time of our stay was scary, to say the least. was like being locked in jail.|The hotel needs to take this all...
Read moreStayed here with my family for my mom’s weddings and it was absolutely horrific. Upon arrival we had to change rooms due to bugs in our bed. (No follow-up from management). The area carpet and the lounge chair in the room were filthy. The shower wall had strands of blonde and brunette hair. The corners of the shower had mold. The walls looked as if a tiger had taken his nails and had a scratch party. Went down for extra towels twice and was told the hotel was out of towels. Tried to play pool only to be told by the GM the pool sticks are broken. This was the absolute worst stay I’ve ever had at a Marriott property manage by Aimbridge. Our room was so disgusting and terribly cleaned. I had to purchase a blanket for my 1 year old to sleep on because I was scared. The floors were so dusty and dirty you could tell they hadn’t been mopped or cleaned. This place needs additional help and new management. The fact that both the night and day shift front desk agent both agreed the place is run down is terrible. I can’t even begin to express the terrible service and piss poor communication the day of my mom’s wedding. This place should definitely refund her half of what she spent. Literally the day of the wedding the ceiling collapsed twice while we were trying to set up for the wedding. There was literally electrical wiring hanging from the ceiling. The morning of the wedding, there was literally one gentleman by the name of Pedro setting up the entire ballroom for 160 guest. He was very nice and helpful. I literally helped him pull tables and changes from the hotel storage room. While setting up the tables and chairs, we were informed that there were not enough tables, even though the hotel confirmed the layout of the room weeks prior to the wedding. This caused the whole layout of the room to change including seating. We were told we would be able to setup the night before the wedding. Unfortunately, that did not happen due to the hotel booking a last minute function. The GM promised the room would be clean and ready for setup the morning of the wedding at 7am. Well that definitely didn’t happen because at 8:30 the hotel team was still cleaning from the night before. I spoke with the general manager via the front desk agent texting her. I asked when would the wait staff arrive to set up silverware and glasses for the wedding. The GM reassured me the wait staff would arrive at 5pm and finish the tables before 6pm. Sad to say, the waist staff did not finish setting the tables until 6:37 pm 37 minutes after the wedding was due to start. To add flame to the fire, the wait staff informed me that they had ran out of silverware. Please explain to me how this even happens??? During and after the wedding, the wait staff did not even clear tables. Myself, with help of my aunt, and two cousins, cleared tables and personally took them to kitchen. While taking plates, and cups back to kitchen I found all three waitstaff ladies with plates full of the catered wedding food. If this isn’t unprofessional and straight disrespectful I don’t...
Read moreWorst hotel experience ever!!! They’re crooks!! First off I had called the hotel to see if we could check in early & the worker told me they should have some rooms available around 12:00-12:30 so we killed time by stopping at Walmart. We arrived around 12:30, my husband went in to check us in & the same worker told him he couldn’t check in until 3 & there was nothing they could do. I called again & she said they did have availability we could check in. She had lied that quick which was already a red flag. We paid for our room the lady said it would be an $150 incidental fee in which my husband was fine with, but when we got back to the room they charged us: $246 for the room, $270 we didn’t know why & two $1 processing fees. When I talked to the manager she swore up & down it was our bank because we used a debit card. The worst part is when we checked out we checked our account & we had another charge for $50. I called & talked to the same manager who claimed she didn’t even see that charge, but then told me they charge an incidental fee everyday (this was Sunday). Today is Tuesday, we checked our account again & to our amazement they charged our card $245 today. Mind you we checked out on Sunday. They took a total of $813 from our account. Now we will have to cancel our debit card because apparently they have some fraudulent things going on for them to keep charging our card & the manager never gives a straight answer. She’s clearly lying through her teeth. Im sure when I call the manager she’s gonna give me another made up story on why they keep charging our card. We have stayed at many hotels & have never experienced this before. Then to top it off the hotel wasn’t even up to par. The rooms weren’t the cleanest, they don’t give enough towels/wash cloths, they don’t provide microwaves, only have 10 irons on site, most of the channels didn’t work, the ac was very loud/leaked water, & the refrigerator didn’t work. There are literally several other hotels right next door to this one. They may be a little more money per night, but I would rather pay to stay elsewhere than have to deal with these crooks. You literally get what you pay for. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy (if I had one). You couldn’t even pay me to stay at another aloft hotel. They’re the absolute worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. The staff are liars & they’re crooks the way they keep charging your card. Our entire experience was ghetto & very...
