I order from this bakery through DoorDash dang near every day and have for the last few months bc the ginger tea and strawberry croissants are good. But WOW. Walking in and dealing with whoever is running this place was disgraceful and disgusting. I walked in and knew what I was going to order right, I walk to the register, thereās no line, Iām waiting and the guy with the glasses very rudely rolls his eyes, points to someone else and says with disdain that someone else was there first and I needed to move. Come to find out, he didnāt even know what she was ordering, so itās not as though she started her order and then walked away to take a look at their other items or something. We all stood there waiting 5 minutes while the other customer decided what she even wanted. He couldāve very easily taken my order, taken the money, be done and still have time to take the other customers order. Just wow man. Go take a training on customer service if this is the field youāre going to be in. So freakin disrespectful and disappointing.
Update: as yall can see by the owners response, this establishment is run by someone extremely unprofessional and thereās someone else far more deserving of your time and money. I stated exactly step by step of what occurred and instead of being met with bare minimum professionalism, this person decides to respond no better than one of the 5 year olds I teach. SMH....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreY & H Battery Bakery in Katy is a gem among bakeries, renowned for its exquisite croissants that attract patrons from as far as Sugarland. The buzz around their croissants is well-deserved.
I sampled nearly all their croissant varieties, and each one impressed me. The croissants are wonderfully puffy and crisply flaky. The bread strikes the perfect balance between buttery richness and lightness, melting in your mouth without being greasy.
The bakery offers nine different croissant options, each with its own unique twist. Their collection rotates, ensuring fresh and exciting flavors. The strawberry butter croissant is a standout favorite, with its sweet and tangy notes perfectly complementing the buttery pastry. The artichoke savory croissant is another highlight, offering a delightful blend of flavors.
Pairing these croissants with their coffee is a must. Their lemon-infused coffee is surprisingly delicious, providing a refreshing twist. Their macchiato is also excellent, making YNH Battery Bakery not just a destination for croissants, but a full sensory experience.
Overall, Y & H Battery Bakery sets a high standard for bakeries in the Katy area with its impeccable croissants and exceptional coffee. It's worth the visit, even if it means...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDecided that today was a good day to drive far for the buttery croissants. I reached at 9.15am so that I would be able to get what I wanted.
I got a strawberry croissant with French butter cream, a French butter cream croissant, a chocolate croissant, a Danish chocolate croissant, an almond croissant with almond butter, and an artichoke spinach feta croissant. All the croissants were buttery and airy inside. The croissants were also nicely layered inside while the outsides were puffy, and the top layers were crunchy. However some parts of the croissants were hard especially the ends. The fillings were of the right amount but they were mainly concentrated in the middle of the croissants (the French butter cream) thus I was overwhelmed with all the cream when I reached the middle. The French butter cream was a little too sweet but the chocolate croissants were of the right sweetness. My favorite was the artichoke spinach feta croissant. The filling was good. Highly recommend it!
The owner was super polite and courteous. Service is A+. The bakery had a nice cafe atmosphere. I would recommend to get the croissants to-go since they would close the store once...
