This is a lovely family beach. On the near side of the beach is a protected baby pool and is great for small children who are learning to swim. The main part of the beach is filled with large grain sand and is a fun place to play in the waves by young and old alike. Many days a lazy river also forms between the sand bar and the ocean adding another way to enjoy the water. The far side of the beach is buttressed by a reef where a mini blow whole spirits and gurgles and tide pools trap small fish and crabs.
Getting to the beach is fairly easy. Park on Papaloa road, walk down the bike path till you see a narrow sidewalk between the Kauai Shores Hotel and the Last Nani Condominium complex.    Read moreMy family and I come to Lae Nani Beach often. Usually when we don't have lots of time and want a nice, clean beach close to home. There are no public restrooms. There is one shower. Has several picnic tables in the shade on the grass. There is NO LIFEGUARD on duty but is a public beach surrounded by resort properties. There is NO LIFEGUARD at Law Nano so caution should be used when swimming on the...
