Unfortunately the hype of Wild Chocolate being a "labor of love, created by three committed partners determined to teach the world about the delights of making single origin bean to bar chocolate" must only mean if you are on THEIR TIME. From our experience, you cannot trust the information on their website.
We had read their information online and specifically wanted to support their business vs. visiting other Chocolate enterprises.
Since we were staying in Haena, with the landslide construction, we had to plan carefully to plan a visit due to periodic road closings. In essence we made a 1 1/2 hour commitment to travel to the business on Friday 8/6/21.
Imagine our surprise when arrived to find the business closed during the hours the website indicates they are open on Friday. No note on the door indicating an emergency or other reason for not being open.
So essentially 3+ hours of limited vacation time wasted, AND because we decided to visit THIS establishment, we ended up not being able to visit ANY Chocolate tour due to our departure the next day.

Read moreWe attended the build a bar workshop while on our family vacation. We were looking for something a little different to do for our son's birthday. I'm so glad we stumbled upon Wild Kauai Chocolate. The class was fun and educational and a memorable experience from our vacation. We all now know more about the differences between traditional chocolate bars and the chocolate we made during the class (no fillers, quality ingredients). Our kids have peanut and tree nut allergies and we were thrilled to find out Wild Kauai Chocolate is completely nut free with no nuts in the building. This was a pleasant surprise for us as we were expecting we would have to avoid certain aspects of the class. Each of us enjoyed making our own unique creations with our choice of mix-ins. Thank you for a fun class! We will stop back next time we...
Read moreMy husband and I recently took a Christmas chocolate making class at Wild Kauai Chocolate. The chocolate was delicious and Lance the owner was very welcoming.
We were a little disappointed in the chocolate making course. We were hoping to learn about the chocolate making process, help grind the beans, and all together have a fun hands on chocolate learning experience. When we arrived, the chocolate was already prepared and melted. All we did was put spinkles on melted chocolate and put it in the refrigerator to cure. In the meantime, while the chocolatewas curing, Lance read us children's Christmas stories and had us color Christmas coloring pages. This course would have been great for young children, however the only people taking the course were adults. Definitely not what...
