I copied part of this from my Yelp review but also included new information afterwards since I've returned for another service:
I found my go to nail place. This place is under new management, and I have nothing but praises for this place. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly by the woman at the front desk. She directed me to where I could sit and wait and look at my color choices. There were so many color choices, and I had no problem finding what I wanted! I got a gel manicure and a spa Pedi. I was then directed to get my pedicure first, and was able to see the rest of the space. The place was very clean, including both areas where I had my Pedi and manicure done. The woman who worked on my toes was so professional and friendly. The spa pedi included more than other pedicures I've gotten at other places. My manicure was done by the new owner herself, Vi, and she was amazing. Vi was wonderful to talk to and I saw that she made sure to greet all her staff and all who came into the shop. She also took the time to get to know the customers coming in. She listened patiently to my ideas for my Halloween/fall nails and looked at some inspiration pictures I had. I wanted something spooky, cute, and quirky and she nailed it.
Overall, my nails came out beautifully, the place is clean, the staff is professional, and the new owner Vi is incredibly talented. I felt more than just a paying customer, and I'll definitely be returning!
Update: Came back for another spa pedi and everything remains consistent. Place is still clean, and staff is still super friendly. The owner is also very knowledgeable and will give instructions to her staff to assist them in providing quality service. I think it's really important in a place like this where the staff always wants to do better and is always willing to learn. I just found out they also now have someone who cuts hair and I will try that service out soon too.
Update 3/31/24: I made an appointment with their new hairdresser, Eylin, via a link on instagram. Upon trying to book an appointment, I didn't know which to book. I was looking to have a haircut and also dye my hair for the first time. I reached out to Eylin, and she put me at ease and helped me with booking my appointment. She's very knowledgeable and you can tell that she prioritizes the client and their vision. Since I've never dyed my hair before and my hair is very dark, I had so many questions. She was very patient in answering them, and made sure to explain things thoroughly. Once I was there for my full transformation appointment, I was there for a few hours, but it didn't feel that long at all. Eylin is so easy to talk to, but she also has the option of having a quiet appointment if that's what you prefer! After, she said to send her a picture of what my hair looks like after the first wash to see how I liked it, especially given I've never dyed my hair before. We felt that it was a little warmer than what we wanted and she scheduled for me to come in a second time that didn't take long at all. On my first visit I went in for a fill in after 2 weeks some of my nails were lifting by 3 weeks almost all my nails were lifting. I was concerned since I've been getting my nails done for years and have never experienced this. I only decided to go back because of the great customer service I recieved during my first visit. After the second fill in I expressed my concern and was told by Vi ( the owner ) that maybe I needed a new set or it could be my hormones. The hormones comment I thought was a reach at this point you are just trying to find an excuse for your lack of ability to actually apply Brisa gel. Literally the next day one nail was lifting and the color gel was chipping off. By day three, three nails were lifting. After contacting the salon I was told that again I probably needed a new set. Although my set was not old. When I came in for a fill in the first time I didn't have any nails lifting. This issue began after receiving services here. I was scheduled for an appointment with a different nail tech but unfortunately that tech was not aware that she needed to repair any nails she thought it was just a color change to remedy the gel chipping. After Vi Practically did a new set within an hour a nail began to lift. It's now day three and one nail is off and another lifting . I think it's fair to say it's not the fact that I "needed a new set".Also the owner is extremely defensive it's difficult to communicate with her since she becomes combative and blames you for her lack of knowledge and ability to actually do nails. She even stated it was basically my fault because I moved to attend to my child. When actually my daughter was seated watching a movie. I used to be a customer and HUGE fan of this place and I have recommended this place to so many people, but things have changed.
I used to get my SNS manicures there by the same nail technician, and my manicures would last 4-5 weeks. The last 3 times I got one from her, the polish would chip and my nails would break within 3 weeks. I don't know if the products they are using have changed, but I am not getting the same service as I used to.
The other problem I now have is getting an appointment. I broke a nail and stopped in and was turned away by the owner telling me "sorry we are completely booked". Seriously ????? You won't make a quick appointment for a long-standing customer to get a nail fixed ? I have NEVER in my life been turned away from a nail salon and the place is ALWAYS empty.
The last time I went, the girl that did my pedicure took FOREVER, she did a horrible job and kept nicking me and she held up my manicure appointment and made me late for my next appointment. I asked the owner if I could come back later and was told "sorry, we are completely booked" again. Once again, the place was EMPTY.
My final straw & last attempt .... I called for an appointment and was told "sorry, we are completely booked today & tomorrow". Seriously ?
This place is NOT that busy, the problem is that they are under staffed, their technicians barely speak English and can't understand anything you say and they take FOREVER to do manicures & pedicures ... good luck getting out of there in less than 2 - 2.5 hours for a mani/pedi. Plus, every time I go in there, the staff is giving each other services or in the kitchen eating. You call that busy ? You waste an entire day half of a day in there !
My last comment ... the owner has ZERO personality, is not accommodating and is not nice or friendly at all. She has poor customer services skills ! This place isn't going to last if she keep running her...
