Hubby and I attended a private party and had access to the private room, downstairs, known as The Library. It is an enchanting room where the owners are lovers of books and collected a plethora of books and turned some into seating stools, others into wall ornaments, and they even have a vintage antique typewriter and vintage antique phones from the 50s.
There is also the main upstairs which is open to all. As soon as you walk towards their entryway, you can smell the hops and it smells herbal.
I am not much of a beer drinker. Personally, I prefer champagne, wines, and cocktails. If I am to do beers, my preference is usually a shandy. For those who are like me and do not want to feel left out, order yourself Tons of Bubbles Hard Seltzer. It has a light and refreshing black cherry fizzy beer taste at 4.3% ABV. I also tried their Wrought Gold: Blood Orange Blond Ale at 5.5% ABV. Personally, I was not a fan. I found it heavy and not refreshing but again, I am not a beer connoisseur.
Food can be brought into the brewery and there are plenty of tables for you to sit down and enjoy your food. There is also an outside seating with benches and picnic tables giving you a Biergarten feel. "Feel free to bring your kids and dogs," as per the Taproom staff.
Bathrooms are found both on the main floor and in...
Read moreKinda disappointed. I haven’t been home in years. I called to ask about filling an old Growler I bought there baaack in the day. I still have the ‘Rocket Jaw’ tag on it. They said they’re bottling their beer now and only selling Crowlers. No Growlers. I know new ppl might not know of Rocket Jaw but it was all we wanted back then. The girl was nice enough but….had no idea and laughed lol. I guess times change .
Still 5 stars, in case they’re still honoring Vet discounts. I remember the son was a vet, Army maybe. Always took care of me. Always had someone like us there. I won’t be popping in. Wish they’d fill my old growler at least, even if there’s no more Rocket Jaw.
-side note- I’ve been down in Queen City for some time, I’ve traveled here and there but still that was the best craft I’ve ever had. Maybe because it was my first. Good memories here. Hope it hasn’t...
Read moreI’m not sure where to begin! I’m rating this brewery a 3 because I think they are making an effort, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again. The lady at the register, who also served the beers, was very nice and explained the variety of options they have.
However, once we sat at the table, it felt very crowded because all their machines and equipment are located in the same room, literally right next to where you’re enjoying your beer. While the space is clean, it is definitely cramped.
As for the beer selection, I personally didn’t enjoy the available flavors; there wasn’t much variety, and the taste didn’t match the descriptions. Overall, I wouldn’t make a special trip to...
