This is a MUST READ!! Dr. Mansour and his entire staff are both my heroes and my cat’s angels. In summer ‘21, my cat of 13 years named Me-Mow got attacked by a dog, whom nearly ripped his entire tail off. Due to this significant injury, the ER suggested that I put him down (that was their first suggestion!), and said if I wasn’t going to put him down that it would cost me about $12k-$15k to have a specialist/ surgeon repair the massive wound- and that maybe even that wouldn’t save him.
I was so desperate to keep my boy alive and came across Dr. Mansour’s hospital and reviews here on Google. I saw that others had brought their pet to him for life saving emergencies, so I called them and they got me in right away. After evaluating his severe condition, Dr. Mansour determined that he might be able to save him but that he would have LESS than a FIVE percent chance of living! He made sure I fully understood this before I begged him to do the surgery anyway- (and mind you he did this surgery out of the goodness of his heart as even he agreed a specialist surgeon should be seeing Me-Mow but he knew I couldn’t possibly afford that). Me-Mow somehow survived the surgery….I remember when he first came out, I could not even fathom the talent of Dr. Mansour for coming up with a solution- he removed his tail and somehow found enough surrounding tissue to move forward with a recovery process. My cat absolutely should’ve been dead yet here he was, alive!!
Well, of course with these severe wounds, they may still get re-infected. And so Dr. Mansour and his team continued to see Me-Mow for almost every other day for nearly 2 months. When he needed a little revision surgery, they did it. When I needed them to take him in for a day to do his wound cleaning so that I could go to work, they did it. They NEVER STOPPED SAVING MY BOY’S LIFE UNTIL HE WAS FULLY RECOVERED. Again, we are talking about a less than 5 percent chance of survival. Most of all, Dr. Mansour made sure I was able to AFFORD all of this- I’m truly just a broke college student but he could tell I just could not let go of my boy. I’ve never met ANY other vet like him- ever! And his team- each of them fought for Me-Mows life every time they cared for him. They are all amazing human beings. This is their calling. & I can never imagine moving simply because I will never bring my pets to any other vet! Me-Mow & I are FOREVER grateful to Dr. Mansour & his...
Read moreI want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Dr. Mansour for his kindness and professionalism in helping my 13 year old sweet loving dog Guinness cross the rainbow bridge on Saturday Feb 12th in our home. He and his vet tech assistant Dominique were so wonderful, kind, and comforting during the hardest moment of my life, having to say goodbye to who I would describe as my first born, my sweet girl Guinny. I loved and will continue to love that animal with all my heart, she was so much more than a pet, she was truly a valued and honored member of my family. During the hardest times in my life, my sweet girl was by my side. My last promise to her, if and when the time came, was to have her pass quietly and comforted in her bed at home. Guinness was a healthy dog, but very nervous and did not do well at the groomer or vet. Although, she was slowing in her old age, I was thankful to keep her healthy her whole life and make good on my promise. Dr. Mansour and Dominique came to our home on Saturday night, with kind hearts, and loving spirits; patiently and mercifully helped my sweet girl cross over after she had a neurological event that left her unable to walk and eat. She could barely stand up, her legs had failed her, her eyes were rapidly moving side to side, and she was vomiting non-stop. Her poor little body had deteriorated within a few hours. Truly the most traumatic experience of my life, and because of Dr. Mansour’s kindness we were able to comfort her and hold her as she quietly passed away. I am so grateful to Kenilworth Animal Hospital for picking up the phone that night and being so graciously willing to come to our home and send our sweet girl off in comfort. With all my gratitude Marisa...
