What an absolute nightmare!! NOT ONLY DID I fork out $1600 dollars to get2010 Acura MDX fixed as I had just purchased it and noticed that My new car was Shuttering and shaking when I would be driving on the Highway and would need to slow down. It felt as if the car didnt know which Gear to go in. Along with the Shaking I noticed the smell of burnt oil/gas when I would park my Ride. Those two issues had me conserned and stressed and against my Better judgment and against the advice of Family and Friends I went ahead and took My SUV to the kennewick Firestone Where I was advised to purchase Diagnosis', Service, Labor, Parts That I did NOT Need. When I dropped the Acura off I was specific in explaining that I needed to have them fix the Shuttering/Shaking on the Highway along with the Burning Oil/gas when I when come to a stop or park my car! I was reassured by Stephan the Mechanic/Manager that I had nothing to worry about and that He would contact me as soon as they had some answers from the Diagnosis! I never recieved a call that day! It wasnt until the following day that I made the judgment call to get ahold of someone as I hadnt got a call or any communication since I dropped it off at 8am the day before! When I finally had the Mechanic on the phone He explained that the Shuttering and Shaking I felt was Due to the EVAP System, He told me that it was trapping air and Run off liquids from the engine, So that was also the reason for the burning smell! He said that He could totally fix the issue but He would have to order the Parts. I asked how much everything would be out the door and He told me "No more than $1300" I hesitated but told him " That would be fine as long as it wasent anymore than the $1300 quote He had given me" He said Not to worry and that my car would be ready in 2 days and that he would contact me. 2 Days went by and No call, No update, Nothing. It was a Sunday and I had already been without my car for 5 days and Had a bunch of appointments scheduled for that following Monday. So I called the firestone and of course they say my car is ready to be picked up! So I drive 45 miles one way to pick up my Ride. And sure enough when the Technician rang up my balance She said that will be $1592.49 !!!!! I stood there in Shock!! When i caught my voice I said "your mechanic Quoted me at $1300 The girl working said, Let me call my boss and find out whats going on! I was beyond irritated at this point!! She never got the manager on the phone and I needed to get home so I said Screw it. PAID THE $1592.49 got in my Car and took off! As soon as I got on the freeway i noticed that my car was still acting and driving the same way and that nothing had been fixed. AS SOON AS I GOT HOME. i called the kennewick Firestone to let them know of my findings!! The manager said that they DID fix both problems. I Said then why is my Car still Shaking on the highway?? He had a rebutal for every concern I brought to the table. I decided it was time to reach out to the District Manager for some assistance. That ended up being a waste of time. After several back and fourth Emails. We came to the agreement that I would Bring my acura Back to the shop so they could do a proper diagnosis and actually fix my car this time. He also did a $250 refund and made the comment " well you should use the $250 to take your Car to another mechanic!! There is a Huge lack of communication when it comes to firestone and the way they do business!! Ive never felt more taken advantage of by a business in the 42 years ive been alive. If I can help one person avoid the nightmare ive experienced then this post was worth it! PS. The shuttering and shaking I experiencing was Due to my Acura needing a new transmission Mount! To purchase that mount and had it installed...
Read moreIf I could do negative stars I would. I went in for a scheduled appointment to have an all wheel alignment and tire rotation. Dropped it off wi th out any issues. About 10 minutes later I get a call from them saying I need new tires. No issue, I didn’t want to pay their price though so I told them to hold off on new tires but still do the alignment and rotation and the gentlemen I spoke to had no issue doing so. 1.5 hours later they call me again, this time a different gentlemen asking if I’d been told about needing tires, I said yes but that I was waiting for funds. I asked him if my car was done and he said only the rotation had been done, that they were just about to start the alignment. 1 hour later my cars finally done, only they didn’t do a rotation only an alignment because my tires were bad. Ok fine, I end up taking my car to a local Walmart to get tires cause they had a better price. However Walmart can’t put new tires on my car because it seems someone broke off my lug nut on a wheel. So now I take my car to Les Schwab to fix the lug nut and while fixing it they tell me I NEED AN ALIGNMENT! So I waited 2.5 hours for Firestone to rotate my tired and align my wheels and they did nothing but BREAK OFF MY LUG NUT! I call the manager of this location giving him a piece of my mind. He tells me according to the “paperwork” they did do an alignment and that nothing on the paperwork says anything about the lug nut. I tell him what Les Schwab said and he tells me to bring Les Schwab’s paperwork in on what they did and I’ll get reimbursed. So finally after Les Schwab fixes the wheel, and Walmart puts on all new tires I go to this location to get my refund. What does the service guy tell me? “Oh yeah we saw that broken yesterday, the PASCO LOCATION must have broken it!” Unbelievable. Bunch of liars who will do anything to cover up their mistakes. Read moreWell I decided to give Firestone another shot. Everyone deserves that. However this time it will be my last. After sending my truck and my wife’s car in and spending almost 4 thousand I left thinking everything was all good. Little did I know not only did they lie directly to my face but did so without a care in the world. The following day my truck lost power and big time… after investigating it I found my oil was so black so sludgy it was horrible. I had to drain it and then literally had EIGHT QUARTS run through to flush and even then it barely started to come out the right color it was horrible I can’t describe it enough to give the state it was in. I could have easily burnt my motor up without a doubt. Imagine how it felt spending that kind of money to be told all checks out.. all fluids tipped off… just to find out what I did. It was never even checked. The dip stick was very hard to pull out and didn’t even register on the stick. So then I started looking at the things they supposedly did and not just the oil but ALL the fluids were low… and what do you think Firestone will do? Admit it? Hardly.. reimburse me? Even less likely… the last thing I want to hear is “we’re sorry you had a bad experience AGAIN” just to get just that..a hollow apology and nothing to right the wrong…. Ya know.. I’m all about forgive and forget.. but when you do it again.. and lie straight to my face…and put my work vehicle in jeopardy with no remorse.. how can I ever have faith in a company that does not do what they say and what you pay them to do… very aggravated about this. Should a miracle happen and Firestone reaches out to me to try to right this wrong I’ll follow up and post that as well In all fairness.. we shall see.. todays date...
