🎬 Seating & Comfort Most of the auditoriums here feature heated reclining seats that make watching long movies a breeze. The only exceptions are:
Laser Max (largest room): No recliners, just standard seating, and it comes with an upcharge if you’re using AMC vouchers. Many guests agree it’s the least comfortable option.
Dolby Cinema: Recliners but no heating, although the sound and picture quality make it the best overall theater. Even staff say it’s their favorite.
🧼 Cleanliness This theater is consistently clean. Staff are visible sweeping between shows, wiping down seats, and keeping the lobby and hallways neat. Restrooms are well-maintained, stocked, and don’t have the grime or odors you find at some other AMC locations.
🍿 Food & Concessions Like most AMC theaters, food and drinks are very overpriced. Large popcorns, sodas, and candy cost a premium. The good news is that staff don’t seem strict about outside snacks, many guests mention bringing small items in without hassle.
👨💼 Customer Service The employees here really shine. They’re friendly, approachable, and often go the extra mile. I’ve seen them hand out free posters and collectible cups, quickly resolve booking mistakes, and even refund the difference when I needed to switch theaters. Their willingness to help makes visits stress-free.
🎖️ Military Discounts They do honor military discounts, but it’s only applied to tickets, not concessions. Still, it’s appreciated.
🎟️ Ticketing & Value
AMC Stubs members get the best perks.
Dolby and standard reclining theaters are included with vouchers.
The Laser Max auditorium is the only one with an extra surcharge. Overall, the value is solid if you avoid the Laser Max and use memberships or vouchers.
🚻 Facilities Restrooms are clean, well stocked, and spacious enough for busy nights. No issues here.
🎭 Atmosphere The lobby has a modern, lively vibe with good energy, especially on weekends. Since it’s part of Kent Station, it’s easy to grab dinner, shop, or walk around before or after your movie. That makes it a convenient entertainment hub.
✅ Pros:
Heated recliners in most rooms
Dolby Cinema is excellent
Clean facilities throughout
Friendly, helpful staff
Military discount on tickets
Convenient Kent Station location
❌ Cons:
Food and drinks are overpriced
Laser Max auditorium doesn’t recline and requires an upcharge
No military discount on concessions
⭐ Overall Rating: 5/5 Despite pricey concessions, AMC Kent Station delivers one of the best theater experiences in the area. Cleanliness, comfort, friendly staff, and a great Dolby Cinema make it a standout...
Read moreWe have been to this movie theater many times. This weekend we had a very disappointing experience. First, we already had two tickets but we had to pay additional $9.99 for the two seats. I gave the cashier my credit card and purchased the two tickets. We got the ticket and the receipt and it shows a charge of $9.99. We want to eat and then watched the movie. The movie, Wakhanda Forever, was really good, except the speakers were really loud during the preview. Anyways, later that evening when the charge showed up on my credit card account, it was $37.99. Basically, the cashier tooknourntow tickets and still charged us full price for both seats. The next day we returned to the theater and spoke with the customer service rep. She said it was a known issue, a glitch of their side. Instead of refund of the overcharged, she just gave us back our two tickets. She didn't even offer for refund, she fave us the two tickets. She seemed hesitated to resolve that issue. We weren't going to make a big deal of it as we will be back to watch movies again. I asked her if she can make sure the credits are properly reflected on my stubs account. She said she would do it later. I t has been two days now and it's still not reflected. The saddest part is we are shareholders of AMC. Such a...
Read moreNormally we love this theater but tonight I never want to set foot into this place again. We wanted to see Dune and had purchased tickets online. This is the first time we've been to a movie since the pandemic started. BUT... (before I go further, I want to say that I absolutely agree with this policy, but I am very disappointed with how they implemented it) they needed to see our vaccination cards for entry. We have them, just not on us. There was no warning that this was the policy. It was not communicated on the Fandango site, it was not on the theater website, it was not texted to us, nor sent via email. We did not bring them because there was no indication, we needed them. We have not encountered this policy anywhere else. We are self-employed and getting a night off took a week of preparation and working extra hours, not to mention driving a half hour each way in the rain. But despite this preparation we were turned away. A wasted effort. This could have been different if the theater had taken ANY effort to communicate this policy. One would think that during this challenging time for cinema an organization that makes their profit from showing films would care enough about their costumers to make this policy known and not just turn away paying movie goers at...
