One of the greatest parks in the City of Kent. The 6 1/2 ton "floating" granite ball is a big attraction. It doesn't take much to get it spinning when the water is running. The kids love chasing the spurts of water from the fountains around the ball. There is plenty of space to have a picnic, relax in the grass and watch the kids play. The restroom building houses all of the pumps and controls for the fountain. There is a maze of plumbing and electrical in there to control all of the fountains and lights. All of the equipment was rigorously tested by Underwriters Laboratories to assure safety.

I just love this Plaza park in Kent, I have the opportunity to walk through this area, each time I go into Kent for meetings I attend nearby, every other week. I love how quiet it is, and the fall colors of late, of the small maple trees that line the street. And right now it is decorated for the holidays, the trees and a man made Christmas tree,🎄 with strung lights. With Christmas music playing. 🎶🔉 from the small storage shed/bathroom building. It is nice to just sit there and take a load off the feet and just relax!!

Cornucopia days was great. Many, many fair quality food vendors on top of local vendors. The parade did not disappoint and had quite the long spread of participants. You'll run into issues with parking and of course, it is very crowded. Lots of free entertainment for the kids, lots of stickers this year for kids. There was the water feature working during the heat this year, so that helped to be going right by the free music stage. For free, it's really a nice festival.
