After taking my daughter to a movie The Ram was the closest and most convenient place to stop and grab a bite to eat. We walked in it was pretty busy because of the game so a lot of the patrons were in the bar area. I noticed that the game was being played on all of the TVs throughout the restaurant. Me and myself, I'm not a football watcher so it would have been nice to see something else playing in the area where the families sit. We were sat almost instantly when we walked into the restaurant. The server than asked if we would like anything to drink and I requested and ice water with lemon and a Long Island Iced Tea and a lemonade for my daughter. She returned within a few moments with our drinks and at that time we were ready to order. I ordered the French dip sandwich with au jus and side salad and my daughter had the grilled cheese sandwich that came with an applesauce. Complimentary carrots and Ranch are provided to any child eating a kid's meal. The server then walked away and I realize she had not provided any straws for my drinks, only my daughter's. So I patiently sit and wait for her to pass by again who request my straws which was about 5 minutes. I politely wave her down and requested my straws, I would prefer not to drink off the lip of a cup. She returns with the straws another five minutes later by that time 10 minutes has passed in my alcoholic beverage is sitting with tons of ice and I'm already imagining how water down it's going to be. Additionally, when I ordered the Long Island iced tea I requested an additional shots and at that time I was told they have a two-shot maximum and that particular drink already has two shots in it so she would be unable to add a third shot. I took a sip of the Long Island iced tea and at that time it was extremely water down and tasted like juice. So I took the straw and began to dump the ice from the alcoholic drink into my ice water. I became upset thinking about how long it took for me to get the straw and that drink sitting with all that ice in it partially being a reason why it was now water down and tasted like juice. She returned with our food within a few moments and at that time I express to her the drink was watered down and wanted to see how she could accommodate me to get an extra shot. I mentioned to her I would like to have the drink removed from my bill if I couldn't have an extra shot . She began to explain the restaurant policy and said that she would talk to her boss to see what she could do for me. the server then walks away and I realized she hadn't provided any eating utensils. so now I'm waiting for her to return with the eating utensils and watching the water down Long Island continue to absorb the remaining ice. She returned after another five minutes and said her boss agreed to allow me to have one shot and gave me the options vodka rum or tequila I told her I would like a shot of vodka and gently reminded her she had not provided us with eating utensils either. She apologized walked away returned to the table with the eating utensils and the shot, which I dumped into the long island. Literally, did NOTHING FOR THE DRINK! STILL WAS JUST A WATERED DOWN MESS! I've added a picture of the Long Island ,u can c its watery upon delivery.BY that time ,I was already upset because she forgot the straws and eating utensils and my drink was a joke. that extra shot did nothing for the water down drink she didn't even ask if I'd like to have it removed and since I'm really not the one to complain I figured I would just pay for the food and not return again. I asked for the check in a box so that we can leave. I can say my daughter seem to enjoy her grilled cheese sandwich . The French dip sandwich actually wasn't bad on a scale of 1 to 5 I would say it was a three the side salad they provide is good I believe it had couscous on the top . I can't see myself returning there even if it is convenient and close to my home I don't think I would spend any more of my money there it was a horrible experience for me. Service...
Read moreOUR FIRST TIME TURNED VERY UGLY AT THE END. 3/30/17 .Our Receipt said that out Waiter was CARLOS TABLE 25/1 My husband, daughter, and I went to the Kent Station RAM; Tonight at 7 we wanted a quick dinner and my husband wanted a beer. I thought that everyone was great one guy took our order he was very friendly and then another guy CARLOS came and was really nice too. My husband ordered 2 appetizer and a beer. I got a burger and a cup of tomatoe basil soup and a lemonade, for our daughter mac n cheese. Normally I can eat a whole plate of soup and still want more... well not this time i i hardly touched it and forced myself to eat at least 1/3 of the burger my husband said the the wings weren't great either. We were ready to leave CARLOS who HAD been VERY nice brought our check. Our check was $66 and i asked my husband how much we should tip. But he didn't want me to because we hardly ate anything he just wanted to leave. So i asked for a box for my daughter's Mac n cheese which she hardly had touched... I ended up forgetting the box so CARLOS COMES THROUGH THE BACK DOOR TELLS ME THAT I FORGOT THE BOX WITH CHECK IN HAND AND RUDELY SAID "SO I WORK FOR FREE!" Because i didn't leave a tip. I was appalled that he came outside in that manner and said that it infront of the people walking by. I wanted to go inside and speak to a manager but my husband didn't want me to make a scene because it wouldn't solve anything. When i was younger i worked for a restaurant i would NEVER SAY that to a customer. You don't know their situation you move on. TIPS are optional you can't force someone to give you one. CARLOS I HOPE YOU DONT WORK FOR FREE I HOPE THAT THE "KENT RAM" pays you hourly on top or tips like most places do. That comment makes me happy that i didn't spend a penny extra on you. Makes me glad that you showed me your true colors makes me feel less guilty that I didn't...
Read moreJust wanted to comment on our dinning experience at the Kent WA.Ram. Our Sever was Robyn O and she was anything but cordial or inviting. She made no attempt to makes us feel comfortable and she did not smile or try to make small talk conversation. I asked if they had a broiled chicken meal and she said so you want chicken strips? I said no just wondering if you had a broiled chicken meal, again she said you want grilled chicken strips? I said ok guess that's a No...Then I asked asked how's the blacken salmon? she said ok you want the salmon? I said well..how is it? No eye contact just starting down at her pad again she says then you want the salmon? Then she said well everybody orders it so it must be ok. Anyway our group all agreed she was not happy for some reason or at least not with us I guess, we didn't do anything wrong we always treat people with respect and felt she was not happy for some reason. My wife asked another person a man for more napkins and again he didn't turn around to acknowledge her request so my son spoke up and said excuse me? could we get more napkins? and without turning around he said I heard you.. Wow! that was painful. Anyway we always leave a decent tip 18% but in retrospect wish we hadn't. I'll be sharing my experience with all my friends and family although I don't believe that all your employees treat everyone like we were treated but I had to share our...
