Kimpton Key West — Hotel in Key West

Recently stayed 3 nights and the service was horrible. Our experience began by checking in we waited at least 20 minutes which the time did not matter to us but being completely ignored by the clerk, Laura. There was another guest who was asking about things to do, restaurants and boat tours. Laura did not acknowledge us at all almost like we were not in the same room. Laura called and make reservations for this guest on a boat tour giving her mastercard number, security code, and phone number. It would had been easy to record it on my phone and have all her information. Laura took a map and gave her directions to several places and gave her tickets for free drinks, percent off, etc. We have stayed at the SAINTS hotel (highly recommend) and other people were checking in. The hotel clerk greeted, offered us bathrooms, place to sit, and water to drink. There is a complimentary breakfast which is suppose to open by 8:00. You were lucky if it was open by 8:30. Beware. They do not tell you that there is no housekeeping service. "Absolutely Not" we we're told by the front desk. They do not empty garbage, make the bed or change the sheets. It's to protect their staff. Ok, I get it but shouldnt they let you know before your reservation ? You can get clean sheets delivered if you want. Not sure why all the negative reviews. My wife and I stayed last Summer for 3 days and we thought everything was tip top. Great service. Very clean and updated rooms. Great service. The location can't be beat also. I guess if you don't like your room, ask to switch but our suite was great. We met some nice people in the pool and they also thought their rooms were great.
