I've been coming to this theater for a while now in the last five years. Its not like any other Regal theater.
I know the special rules here - but my friend Richard doesn't. He tried to get me an angry orchard to be nice; and found they wouldn't let him order his own beer because they have a one drink per order rule! Which he didn't know about.
Then he comes back into the movie having brought me an orchard and asks me if I can go order his corona. He seems upset so I just go and plan on explaining what happened. That's what my boyfriend and I do sometimes as regulars; and nobody ever freaks out on us we just say what we want and walk away and we stop at x2. This has never caused an issue.
Before I can explain what happened to the bar staff..the oldest kiddo behind the stand is pointing at me, accusing me of having MULTIPLE drinks already (at this point I've still only had ONE) and telling me I can't get Richard one, and he told me I cant have one either. Mind you-- this guy is not doing this politely, you would think I was a dog who peed on a rug!! It was beyond me than any business would want to talk to their guests like this.
.. and I can imagine how he spoke to Richard who doesnt even know the rules and it was just an accident he didn't understand them.
Wonderful. After having spent around $200 between the three of my company on tickets, candy, movie treats, slushies and two large popcorns..+we had three drinks (one for each of us) plus the one angry orchard that ended up just having to SHARE with Richard who was not allowed to have a second.
I'm upset I missed a longer than expected portion of the film I paid to see as well. Why? Just so their staff could start an argument over something easily solvable. Even if those are the rules and guests are only allowed one drink per movie there is a way to go about telling them without treating them with utmost disrespect.
I've never had a problem but.. I do now. We were in a funk for the last half hour of our experience and tbh neither of my friends will come back with me here.
I recommend you bring your OWN treats in a big ol' PURSE. I am always for supporting a business from within but BYOB here you have been warned.
I will not buy another thing from this theater aside from tickets; and I'll use the app. The majority of the staff meandered about and stayed out of the ruckus but nobody did anything about it. In that moment I realized how badly I take for granted the businesses that make you feel welcome. Also very strange that they don't want to sell you anything you'd think I was staggering around belligerent or looked vagrant? I still can't believe how I was spoken to and I left feeling terrible.
Bro just because you are frustrated with your job doesn't mean you have to ruin other people's fun by being rude. Unless you would like to have an angry child argue with you about how many drinks he 'KNOWS' you've had, BYOB! Clearly the fool doesn't know very much _ as I had everyone's receipts; because I use them for crown club points - and I'll be sure to stop using that as well since I have decided even free popcorn is not worth stepping into the vicinity of that concession bar.
I don't WANT to cause a stink and I don't want to complain :[ I just wanted to have a good weekend with my buddies and we don't get to do things like this often. Their stuff is super expensive anyway. ($9.00 for what looks like less than 12oz of angry orchard draft) hope less folks buying makes your lives easier; disgruntled concession staff.
Other Regal theaters (and other theaters in general) are nothing like this one. I wish this Regal was like the one from my hometown. It's atleast a family friendly theater in Key West...
Read moreLast week, I went to the movie theater to watch a masterpiece of a movie. I biked over there with my friend, and we had an absolute blast. It was after school on a Friday, so we just wanted to relax, and we did just that by watching a movie. Everything about it was great; the only bad thing was the overpriced candy, but it wasn’t even that big of a problem. I’ve been to the movie theater multiple times, and each time is such a blast. It’s fun to go with friends and family. Personally, I prefer going with friends, but it’s still fun either way. You can buy tickets online or in person, so it’s easy to pay for your ticket. Make sure to buy them in advance if the movie is in high demand. After that, it’s time to grab some snacks. My go-to is a bag of M&Ms and a large popcorn with butter to share with the people I’m with. The salty, buttery popcorn combined with the sweet M&Ms is an amazing combo. Everything about it is perfect, especially if you get a drink—my favorite is a blue raspberry slushie. Make sure to get a large one because it goes by fast. Now for the best part—the actual movie. Whatever movie you watch, make sure to get good seats. If the theater fills up, it may be hard to see if there are people in front of you. Usually, if you go a few days after the movie is released, the theater is empty, and you can have it to yourself if you’re not a fan of crowds. Just enjoy the movie, relax, eat some snacks, and have a good time. However, the movie theater has insanely high prices for tickets and candy. The prices for candy are significantly higher compared to what you would pay at a grocery store or convenience store. Though, no other places sell slushies like the movie theater. It often feels like an extra twenty dollars is being added when you purchase these tasty treats. If you want to relax and watch a brand-new movie you’ve been waiting for, then this is the right place to go, no doubt. It’s the best movie theater in my area. The food they provide is tasty, and I would highly recommend it. Until I find the quality of the actual movies bad, I won’t say that it’s...

We came to see Dune 2 on March 21st at 7pm. We got to the theatre door at 6:54pm. The light up sign by the door said “one love” the Bob Marley movie. We walked in and One Love was still playing. We went outside and asked an employee if we were told the wrong room for Dune 2. He said that Dune 2 would be playing next and to just wait, so that’s what we did. Mind you, Dune 2 was supossed to start at 7pm. One Love didn’t end (credits and all) until 7:15… THEN we had to wait for them to start Dune which took another 10 minutes. After all the RIDICULOUS amount of commercials before the previews and by the end of the previews Dune didn’t actually start until 8:20!!!!!!! For a movie that was supposed to start at 7. We are frequent movie goers (first time to Regal) and have never seen so many commercials before a movie in our lives. A few are fine. But there were dozens of them. The theatre was also the coldest theatre I’ve ever been in AND we all wore sweatshirts and were shivering the whole time. We asked an employee if they could turn it down and he said, “all the theaters here are always that cold.” I would say the theater was 64 degrees, not even kidding. When we all left our feet were completely numb and couldn’t wait to get outside. This was the worst movie experience we’ve ever had and we will never be back to a...
