What a train wreck. I should have been worried when they called me 4 times to verify my time of arrival, after I had called earlier that day and spoke with two different people about... Our arrival. Large language barrier. No biggie with that, we worked around that. But, then it got worse. I had already paid for the room via my booking, when I arrived at a late hour, the lady checking me in didn't speak English well and to be honest, I'm not real sure what language she was speaking (not Spanish as I know that well). She told me she had to charge a hold to my card for incidentals, okay. No problem. Yet .. she charged me 6 times. For random amounts ($890, $635, over and over, etc). Please note I had already paid my stay in full, two days before. When I told her my card was charged the wrong amount, repeatedly, she said oh we will fix it tomorrow, just go ahead because I can't check you in right now. She was also the only person on staff. Uh. Okay. It was late, so we went to sleep. 8 am .. a man who doesn't knock etc. opens the room..we're all asleep. Says oh sh** and left. Housekeeping didn't know we were there. Why? Because she hadn't checked us in.... Go to the bathroom before going downstairs and y'all. The entire bathroom door fell apart (it's a barn door mind you, no privacy). Okay... Go downstairs, tell the manager. He apologizes a lot, said he would refund the resort fees but still has to charge me incidental fees (okay... I get that). He gives me a print out of allllll the bajillion charges. Neat. We go exploring, come back and our room is moved. Why you may ask? Oh the very little privacy bathroom door fell apart. Okay...Move room. Okay, that works. By the way the entire hotel is under construction, the whole thing, tile being done everywhere you walk with random cones and tile spacers all over the ground, elevators not working (this is important later), etc. So first room, the bathroom door completely fell apart. Next room, same as the first, but nothing not working. Yet. We go explore for our second day (we had booked a 4 day stay), come back, I walk over to look out the window at the beach (AC is right there.) AND THE ENTIRE AC COVER FALLS OFF ON MY FOOT! Remember how I said earlier the elevators not working was important? Yeah. It's cuz I was in a horrific accident last year (while pregnant) and had a total knee replacement and double wrist replacement. I'm under a year post op, so stairs and I are not friends yet. Did I mention our second room was on the FIFTH floor? And the elevators werent working.... And I have a baby to carry also. Nevermind the fact that a gentleman got stuck IN the elevator when we were there and since the call button was disabled... He was only heard when we were walking by and he was BANGING. At this point, my husband is like that's it. We're out. I don't care about the extra days, this is UNSAFE. So we pack up for our 9 hour drive back home. Two days early. Due to safety. He informs the manager we're leaving, (checking out) and why. The manager states again he will refund the resort fees and move our room. Okay, but no thank you. You already charged me inaccurately 6 times and the place is literally falling apart at the seams! He then says he can't refund the stay because we booked with a vendor (Expedia). At that point I wasn't even looking for that. I just wanted OUT. The vendor was not able to get a hold of the manager after calling 3 times to discuss the issues. So. Expedia calls me back and they say they will try to secure a refund due to all the trouble. Again, not really concerned about that, I just want the hold fixed and the funds I was charged (bank) for the inaccurate charges to be taken care of (two bank cards, the lady kept saying it was declined. YEAH BECAUSE YOU WERE CHARGING 2-3X what I already paid!) and most of all, very concerned for the safety of the patrons! What a horrible experience. We're continuing our vacation in another part of Florida due to this (thank goodness we're natives). Save yourself the trouble and the potential injury!

We loved this hotel so much we cancelled our other one. We were going to stay at another hotel closer to Duval St but after staying here for one night we cancelled those plans and came back. This hotel is absolutely amazing. From the moment you step out of the car and see the flamingo wallpaper, you know you’re in for a fun ride. The front desk staff greets you with a rum punch upon check in to make you feel as though vacation has definitely begun. For starters, this hotel is beautiful. It really has a boutique hotel kind of vibe. Aesthetic, a little funky, and so much character and charm. It’s the kind of hotel that has so many photo opportunities and also makes you feel like you’re in another world. This hotel offers some of the best amenities on the island. Scattered around the property are TONS of fun games for everyone to enjoy including pool, table tennis, foosball, cornhole, a putting green, and even giant chess. There’s also two pools and a gym to enjoy. There’s always something going on at the hotel whether it’s yoga in the morning on the lawn or live music every night by the pool. There’s also a lot of roosters roaming the property which adds a lot of enjoyment just from watching them! You could never be bored here and in fact sometimes it feels hard to leave the hotel or explore elsewhere. The outdoor bar by the pool serves up some VERY delicious food and drinks from early in the morning until later in the evening and the Starbucks on property has come in clutch for me this trip. The rooms are cozy and very cute but honestly we are barely in them as we find ourselves out playing the games outside most of the time. The sunsets from this hotel are incredible. Take a ride up to the fifth floor to see some absolutely stunning views across the ocean as the sun goes down. As much fun as all the amenities are, it’s truly the staff that make this hotel as wonderful as it is. Soma and Daniella at the front desk were some of the nicest, most welcoming, and most accommodating staff we’ve ever encountered. All of the staff seem genuinely happy to be there and are always asking how everything is and if we need anything. They truly want you to enjoy their beautiful resort and have a great vacation and it shows. Without their phenomenal hospitality this would be just another cute hotel. We can’t thank them enough for how hard they work to make sure every guest is having a relaxing and wonderful time. This hotel is definitely our new little gem and we only book here from now on when we visit the keys.

Book this hotel resort for the list of amenities that it had also for an ocean view room well we came at check-in time rooms were not ready had to wait over 2 hours for the room was given a room on the opposite side of the building facing air conditioners and trash did not get the ocean front room management did not give any reason why hotel staff is not that great most of the employees know nothing of their own property that they work at give you wrong information all the time and wrong directions they're only three good employees at this hotel that work for customer service well let's talk about the amenities they're supposed to have two restaurants these are nothing but outside bars that serve food with tables so the restaurants close kind of early one one closed at 6:00 p.m. which is odd for key West the other one closed a couple hours after that was told by the staff that they had a food truck on the property well if you're staying at a so-called nice resort you don't want to eat off the food truck had to go off the property for dinner the room was clean nice TV beds for good so this hotel charge you a lot of fees you do not expect when you check in when you've already paid all fees included online there is a $50 a day resort fee $15 a day to park and other additional fees never step foot in the nasty swimming pool that was always a murky green reported the pool to the management they did nothing about it shown it to the maintenance man nothing was done so the outdoor dining is a disaster with all the chickens and roosters that are on the property that jump up on the table and start eating your food an employee walks around with a squirt gun trying to chase them away so they have a beautiful bar area in the lobby that is never open it's key West why would you have the bar closed who wants to sit out in 100° weather we purchased the prepaid breakfast which were not that great bacon was like they cooked it in the microwave most of the eggs or liquid eggs out of a carton hash browns were good toast was okay and the ice was good the first day we went for breakfast we asked the front desk where it is served they sent us to the wrong restaurant on the property not the one that is open turns out the one that is open was right close to the front desk are these employees do not know this so the elevators are constantly breaking down I myself am handicapped I was stuck on the elevator for a while multiple guests said that they have been stuck on the elevator also was told by one person that that's normal for this hotel for the elevators to break down after you to be stuck on them also ask the front desk for some extra towels and soap the towels took get never got the extra soap we were on the 4th floor well you do not want to lean up against the railing railings are all very loose on the floor let's talk about now the free shuttle bus from the hotel so the hotel tells you that this bus is going to drop you off at Murray square well it doesn't it drops you off about a mile or so away from Murray square around the 20-25 minute walk also to return to the hotel we waited around 2 hours looking for a bus that said blue flamingo we called the hotel they said the bus has been coming by that if we seen the bus that said Fairfield Hilton on it we replied yes we saw that bus but figured that was for the Hilton since there are a lot of hotel buses that make this stop they never put blue flamingo resort on the side of the bus which one of the drivers said that they need to do they did reimburse our Uber ride back to the hotel also could not find the live entertainment that was supposed to be around the pool area basically this hotel promises a lot but doesn't deliver look for another...
