Searstown Shopping Center — Attraction in Key West

Despite the loss of Sears, this remains a really busy shopping center with plenty of parking. Busiest side of the complex is in front of Publix.

It is clean and has great waterfront views if you are grabbing a quick bite to eat at Wendy's, or Subway, and want to sit in your car and chill before heading back to work.

Oppenheimer Eye Center, a new and very efficient DMV next door, followed by a great little toy store and China Garden Restaurant. TJ Max and Outback, a Barber Shop and a couple of other places I am sure I have forgotten. Regal Movie Theater and Royal Furniture Store (beautiful merchandise) are another 2 large facilities in the plaza. There is a very good nail salon, an ice cream store and a place that does signs...

Publix is always clean , well stocked, well lit and very cheery. Never had any problems there. But their prices are insane now! I actually go to sprouts or whole foods to save money from Publix! You can go to sprouts and get a gourmet meal made from all natural foods no hormones no pesticides for less than what you can get at Publix The prices have gone right through the roof! I talked to a public's employee who told me they will never lower them either their stockholders love the profits they're making. So if you're trying to save money go to Winn-Dixie for regular groceries but you can actually go to whole foods or sprouts or any of the organic stores now for the same price as Publix and eat better...

We were on vacation in the area and decided to go to Publix for groceries. This place was an absolute madhouse! I'm not sure if it was the locals or if most people in the store were traveling, but it just seemed everyone was so rude and in such a hurry. People were practically jogging with their buggies, cutting others off, jumping in front of people to get what they wanted first. Never heard an excuse me or pardon me. The checkout lines were 10 to 15 people deep and everyone was complaining. The store itself was well stocked and set up as you would expect, like other Publix markets and was reasonably clean and organized. I wouldn't recommend this Publix if you can find another...
