Thien's Hair studio — Attraction in Kirkland

I'll definitely be coming back to this salon. I called ahead to make an appointment, and they were able to fit me within the hour. I arrived at the salon to find a small but very well-kept business with lots of natural lighting. Acrylic barriers were set up between chairs to protect their customers, and masks were required of customers and stylists. My haircut is simple - a fade on the sides and a trim on top. Simple, yet many places/stylists can't seem to fade straight or evenly. Auntie Hien (I call her auntie out of respect) cut my hair. She was very fast, efficient, and did a wonderful job. You can tell she has lots of experience just from how organized her station is and the types of instruments and tools that she uses - her clipper of choice is the Oster Professional Classic 76 model (which requires much more hand control compared to traditional clippers). She got me seated and cleaned me up in about 10 minutes. Fast, clean, efficient, and inexpensive - I can respect that. I was in the area after moving away 7 years ago and needed a quick trim. Dropped in and Thien was able to fit me in, and did an amazing job both evening out, trimming, and shaping my very thick, long, curly hair. Cost around $40, prices are posted at the counter/window. She does discounts for seniors which I think is great. Clearly cares about her customers, knows her craft. If I can pop in after 7 years and get a great and quick trim, and had great experiences when I lived in the area before, she deserves 5 stars. Always the best service and haircut! Thien is the best and so sweet, love supporting local (she grew up in Juanita area!) and been going to her for years. Now my family does too and somehow she remembers our stories! And, back to the haircut, Thien’s fantastic and somehow always manages to make my hair look fantastic despite how low maintenance I keep it. And always has the tips and product recommendations for whatever my hair is going through at the time like thinning, build up, etc. I don’t live here anymore but always save my haircut for when I’m in town visiting family.
