McAuliffe Park — Attraction in Kirkland

Such a lovely park with a wonderful community garden and antique farm equipment that is so cool to look at and explore! I really love the old barn, it is a great backdrop for photos. It is refreshing to step into such idyllic scenery in the middle of the city. My friends and I had a very beautiful end of summer picnic and photoshoot here last weekend. It's a strange park that I can only describe as an outdoor museum, with old buildings you can peer in, a barn, and farming equipment.

Good for: -picnics (lots of lawn space and shade trees) -taking a few photos -reading at -kids--if they're ok with less play equipment but need space for throwing balls or flying kites

Not good for: -trails (there really aren't any)' -scenic...

Fantastic little park! There's so many cute characteristics in this park including a kid's park, community garden, rustic barn and some older/rustic artifacts spread around like tractors and even some old style gas pumps!
