This is a nice museum. It is an idiosyncratic museum. The museum has three distinct sections, one on indigenous artifacts and local history, mainly pioneer; one of paintings and bronzes, more or a less a gallery space; and the vault.
In the first space there are many arrowheads but they are presented entirely out of their original context. They have other indigenous artifacts which are a highlight of the museum. The Modoc Indian War of 1873 is presented through framed newspaper articles from the time and little more. The pioneer history exhibits are nice but confined.
In the gallery space there are numerous paintings that are nice.
The vault space has the feel of a shrine, a place for private enjoyment of private possessions. There is actually a bank vault door and spotlights illuminating the numerous curiosities.

The local tribes of the Nortwest include face masks from the Coastal areas, tools, and necklaces.
