I like to come to this park and take advantage of the access to the walking trail along the lake (The Wing Watchers Trail). From what I have seen, Veterans Park always has a plethora of visitors. Whether your taking a stroll, waking dogs, or just relaxing and enjoying the view out over the lake, there is bound to be something to do here. One of my favorite things is around Christmas time the old retired train (a historical exhibit at the park) is decorated with Christmas lights and lit up on display which is really pretty. In the summer I have seen quite a few people out on the water with their toys or canoes and kayaks. It's a fun park with alot of diversity....(did I mention the lovely views along the lake? Especially...

The only reason I didn't give this place only one star is because they did have bathrooms there that were pretty clean. This place stunk!! It smelt like low tide at the ocean. Which makes it even more disgusting because it is not near the ocean this is just the smell from the stagnant water at the lake. Also this place has more bugs and spiders and any one spot that I've ever seen before in my life. Especially Daddy Long legs......EVERYWHERE!!!! There was a pretty cool life-size fighter jet statue. Also an old train cart was there for display. But I heard from the locals a lot of bad things happen around there. I was told not to hang out around there around dark especially being a female...

Veterans Park is home to an excellent veterans memorial containing markers and brick pavers of local military personnel who've served our country over the years. There's also a neat locomotive engine next to the memorial that makes for a nice attraction. Unfortunately, this park has also been home to a number of homeless and vagrants over the years who loiter on the premises and have been known to drink and do drugs in broad daylight. They tend to congregate around the public restrooms so if you visit the park, be very cautious of using the facilities since you don't know what you may come across inside or outside the building. Panhandling is a frequent sight as well here, so...

Nice little stop before sunset although I wouldn't come back here at night. The bathrooms were locked due to vandalism, with a photo showing the women's bathroom doors had been kicked in and broken off the hinges. Bit worrisome. The actual park was a nice bit of history though. Plaques of war timelines and bricks of veterans names. The sidewalks around the memorial had red, white, and blue lights built into them which was neat. There's also a train and a fighter jet to take some photos of, and a walking path to the lake.

This is a very nice park just sits on the bank of lake Ewauna in Klamath Falls. We made a stop along road 97 and really enjoyed the beautiful view, had fun and relax. The lake view is great, the grasses are super good and well maintained. Lots of big trees are nice to block the sunshine, very comfortable to walk around. The only bad thing is there is that only portable restrooms are available. Also there is memorial train-head(Southern Pacific steam locomotive 2579) parked here for viewing. Nice place.
