My dad was diagnosed with stage 4b pancreatic and liver cancer. I requested two weeks off so that I could spend time with him before he dies. Instead of giving me the time off, they fired me. So much for FMLA. The manager doesn't understand the labor laws and expects people to work Ten hour shifts with no lunch break. She will even change your schedule last minute and then get mad when you don't show up. Don't even get me started on all the slimy chicken juice that's in the bottom of the fridge.their cook (chris) violates the no vaping/smoking rule in their kitchen. Some of their cooks do not even wear gloves when touching raw foods. 🤮 There is mold underneath the fridges and work stations. They dump the grill grease at the end of the day in the garbage instead of dumping it in a grease bin. Don't get me wrong, the people that work there are nice people but the manager named Emily is not a good leader. They break the law by serving drinks to people who are visibly intoxicated, to the point where these people end up drinking the hand soap in the bathroom. To be honest, I was kind of glad when they fired me, because it was an absolutely disgusting place to work, and now I get to spend my father's final moments in his company. And this is probably the only 100% honest Review that you will find about the pikey. Save your money and don't go there. You can drink at home a lot cheaper. And notice in the reply that the company denied firing me because I requested two weeks off. Simply because if they admitted that it would bring legal action against their company. However, Take special note to the fact that they did not deny any of the other allegations of the disgusting work environment that is the pikey. And I have personally seen them refilling bottles in the back which is illegal. Bar Rescue would have a field day...
Read moreThere are enough pictures already, I won't share mine. We ate here twice so you get 2 meals of reviews. The Philly cheese steak gilled cheese, is not a typo - it is a different take on a classic and quite well done! The fried mushrooms, if you like mushrooms, are great, especially with the habanero sauce!!! The 5 alarm burger is amazing, be prepared to use a fork and knife and for chunks of habanero, unlike other places that just use the sauce. My wife's chicken tenders, well they were chicken tenders, maybe with more flavor but not as good as my meal. Her fried pickles lacked flavor which is almost funny because the pickle spear that came with my dinner was pretty good and one would assume they're the same pickels. Corned beef and cabbage - ask before you order. While good, it is NOT what you're expecting. For her the potatoes were a little over spiced. The cheese cake - wow, good. Tyra did a great job especially with a drink she made up for my wife and she also did a great job on my black and tan and overall with helping us both evenings.

Read moreI think the place was having an off night with us. It was late and we ordered to-go because of our two-year old. First, they said they'd bring it to our car - we were parked right out in front. But the 20 minutes they quoted came and went. We went in around 23, 24 minutes and the food was just sitting on the counter, a different person was working the bar, and they said it had been there for 5 minutes. So that was unfortunate. The food was actually quite good, but the sausages in the banger's and mash were overcooked, and the worst was that the Reuben didn't have corned beef in it! It was more like chopped brisket. It was brown, it tasted like roast beef. It was tender which was nice. Otherwise a great Reuben, but Reuben's just don't taste right without the corned beef. I can't imagine an Irish Pub doesn't know what corned beef is, as they have multiple dishes with it, so we assumed that they ran out of corned beef and gave us brisket and just neglected to tell us about the swap. That was a bit disappointing. Overall a 3/5 experience, but we'd definitely try again hoping this was just...
