Horrible food and service. Honestly was so surprised how this place has gotten such good ratings.

We came in on Saturday morning, lots of tables open still so not packed, we stood there waiting a while to be seated. Once seated, the waitress never checked on us, never brought any water, until we had to flag other servers down to come take our order and still it was about 25 mins of waiting at the table before we could put in our order. Food itself didn't take too long. When we tried to pay at the counter, we also had such a hard time paying waiting for a while for them to figure out who our waitress was and which table it was? BTW the only time we saw our waitress was when she dropped off the food cause someone else had to take our order and she also never delivered the toasts that came with the order. Never once came to check on us on how the food was or if we need anything else. Not a single time came over to refill our water. My husband and I just decided to not bother anymore.

And this place is apparently known for leige waffles and their chicken? I ordered liege waffles and chicken. I have had leige waffles before and even the prepackaged one from Costco does not tastes this horrible. It tastes like I was eating partially raw/undercooked biscuit dough that was so dry, heavy and tasteless? Then the "honey" drizzle on top was didn't taste like honey it was more of a crystallized sugar thick syrup? And the chicken tender was just generic - nothing special, taste like those frozen chicken tenders you can get anywhere and make at home. The bacon bits on top was just dried, burnt, inedible.

My husband's dish was chicken fried steak omelette. It was better than mine but the chicken fried steak has this weird "old" smell once you bite into it. Nothing special.

Honestly never had gone to an old breakfast house establishment with such long history that had this horrible food and horrible service. Staffs were friendly but just the most absolute horrible service in every single way. What a waste of time just waiting around for...

So, just got through eating here we ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of hash-browns, along with a strawberry banana waffle also with a side of hash-browns. Took about 10 minutes to get our order, The coffee was bad tasted like it was either far to old in the pot or was instant. The biscuits and gravy was probably the worst i have had to date. The biscuits were spongy like they were pulled from a fridge zapped in a microwave and then tossed on the plate with watery "Sausage Gravy" poured over them until they were drowning. The gravy seemed to have forgotten the sausage or flavor, because there was none.... The waffle tasted like it was one of those individually wrapped toaster waffles pulled out of the freezer, and thrown in the toaster. NOT HOME MADE! To top it all off one of the waitresses forgot one of our sides, after tasting the biscuits and gravy i simply didn't ask for the side as i really didn't want to have to try and eat the bad food, i simply let them know when i was paying the bill that i never received it. They took it off my bill and apologized but to be honest i was more upset at spending any of my hard earned money on that food. It was truly a bad experience. I will not be coming back here nor recommending it to anyone. I would advise anyone to steer clear of this place. I also was bombarded with flies while eating and it was less then appetizing to have flies everywhere in the restaurant. Very dissatisfied, and disappointing. Not sure how they have close to a 5 star rating because based off what i experienced this place should be 1 star. In terms of pricing 8.75 for a tiny tiny little waffle.... Well that speaks...

I am very disappointed in the waffle hut! We got our food after other people ordered it which was fine. They didn’t bring some of our order, which was also fine. One of the things they forgot on our order was a fruit cup. When I was paying, I told the lady that they forgot it just to make sure that it wasn’t charged and she said no I did not put it on the receipt and I also didn’t put your orange juice on there so there’s two things that aren’t on there. I said OK sounds good and asked for my receipt when I paid. on my receipt, there was a fruit cup and a diet Pepsi. I’m not sure where the diet Pepsi came from but there wasn’t an orange juice so I didn’t really care. I went to go let her know what was wrong and she got annoyed because I told her that she did charge me for the fruit cup. She then tried to refund the money on my debit card without swiping my debit card and re-charge me again I told her no you’re not charging me until the amount is off of my card or give me back the couple of dollars for the fruit cup. She then made me wait for the manager and he couldn’t figure it out either she was upset with me and I then got upset with her told her I felt that she was being sneaky for not being honest with me in the beginning. She then got upset and said if I refuse to pay again, then I can come back and pay when the amount falls off of my debit card. I agreed that I would come back and pay when and if the amount falls off of my debit card she said well we are going to trust you not to be sneaky. Seems like somebody got upset that I called her sneaky. Next time I ask you a question...
