Okay so this is the most discriminative Walmart I've ever been to. I usually stop by there after work if I ever go there I am usually in nice clothes with dress pants and dress shoes. I am without a doubt very respectful and kind to anyone(especially in the customer service industry).
Underneath the clothes I am well covered in tattoos and I dress quite different from regular work days.
Usually when I'm all buttoned up and ironed out I get very nice service, people are helpful, and friendly at checkout. Just like the lady was to the guy before me.
3 times now I have gone in there in my "off work" attire and I have gotten no help or asked if I needed assistance
Last time this happened I went up to a lady and asked for her help finding a certain product that online, said it was in store. She directed me wast another lady in a yellow vest that she said could look it up for me but she was on the phone and put her finger up to have me hold while she finished her conversation. No big deal. People have their own issues that still have to be taken care of at work. When she was able to pry herself away from her cell phone she was pretty "snarky". When I asked her if she could help me find it. Without looking she immediately said they didn't have it and that the online inventory wasn't accurate.. Well okay I still needed something like it so I found the aisle that stuff was on and swear if I didn't find what I was originally looking for within 5 mins. I walked back past her aisle to check out and I held it up and let her know they did have them in stock. She gave me a really crummy look and then went back to her phone conversation.
Go back to today. The checkout lady was super sweet to the guy in front of me also very conversational and as always I have a friendly hello. She gave me a nod. Told me total. I said "thank you have a good day" then she handed me my receipt and said "thanks".
Now like I said any other time I come in dressed from work the service is a lot better. You should totally address your employees behavior. I work directly with my clients and no matter their situation or what they look like I treat every single one of them with respect. I would not usually spend 10 minutes of my time to write a Google review and I almost did this last time with the lady and the phone situation but I figured maybe they were just having bad days. Sad that I get better service at the Durham location.
I only hope this can change the perspective of at least one person. Thank you. Have...
Read moreBought a bike, after 1 trip on the Greenway my back tire blew out, luckily I didn't wreck. My husband tried to fix it but realized tires were put on wrong! Called them next day they had another one but needed put together, assured me it would be in top notch condition. I get there & the guy that put it together brought it to me & said it was perfect. Asked me to give it a test drive. As soon as I got on & went to pedal the handle bars dropped & I crashed & wrecked right in the parking lot. Well apologies were given by Jerome, & he tightened the "well put" together bike. I load it get it home & my husband notices a handful of problems the cables were all mixed up, front brakes were upside down, the front tire lug nut was so loose that he could tighten it with his hand, the fenders were touching the wheels, I mean endless at how bad this was put together. It's not like this was a bad TV or something but 2 bikes that were not assembled correctly that could possibly cause life threatening accidents. After talking to the Asst. Manager Tim I was told they would do a customer satisfaction to compensate me for all my time, gas and being sold 2 dud bikes Tim said he would have the store manager call me 1st thing next morning. Well by noon I hadn't heard anything so I called, store manager was in a meeting but Tim answered remember he is the Asst. Manager. He said she would give me a $25 walmart gift card and refund the bike. That's all my pain, suffering, time was meant to them. $25. That's it. After telling him what an insult that was and as a manager knowing I crashed and wrecked on their property because Jarome didn't tighten the handle bars. Then this Asst. Manager Tim hung up on me & this is while I was passionately crying because of the frustrating ordeal of 3 days of just trying to go for some bike rides to get healthy which resulted in 2 accidents. I am extremely soar from the crash on their parking lot. After a manager hung up on me I contacted Walmart corporate office. If nothing gets handled I will be contacting a lawyer because how many more bikes are not assembled correctly & who else could be injured. Kids, elderly, handicapped. Doesn't matter. Safety & responsibility should have been more important to a multi billion dollar corporation than the $25 they offered me. So I would recommend not shopping there or buying anyone a...
Read moreWent here and as soon as I went to get a shopping cart I heard a customer tell a worker the hand sanitizer depenser was out. Her reply was "sorry that's not my job"! He looked shocked and so was I! In this day and time for her to say that with what's going on in our world is OUTRAGEOUS! This same worker a African American older woman who wears glasses was rude to several other customers including me about different qustions or items that needed attention at self checkout. On the same day a CSM was called to a register to turn the key for someone to put money on a card, she was rude and down right mean to the worker saying so I wont be bothered next time send them to the customer service desk to do this. This woman wears a wrap on her head not sure of nationality but has an accent also. Okay then on a separate day went to this same location and heard 2 workers talking saying how one had logged 47 hours and she wasn't planning on working anymore hours and was tired of it, she was an African American woman also of bigger statue who worked at the self checkout has short hair. Employees flock together to talk about customers, have big booming laughing and cackling out burst like a gang of hyenas. This isn't conduct a business would want when people are spending their hard earned money there. I hope a higher up management person sees this or even the corporate office, reason for descriptions of employees. My problem is if you don't want to do your job, are tired of it, don't want to bother with questions or customers, simply put out sanitizer, then why in the HELL are you here?!?! Quit your job go somewhere else, let people that actually want to work have these jobs! And keeping things like wipes and sanitizer out are ESSENTIAL in times like we are living in now. This was actually my favorite store but after witnessing these horrid people that are employed at this location it no longer is a store I will even spend my money at. I'm a tiny drop in a big bucket but if others feel the same way the drops...
