YUMMY Hibachi & Wings — Restaurant in Knightdale

Looking for Fancy and upscale than this isnt the place you are looking for. But if you are looking for a small family owned takeout style hibachi place then you found yourself a winner. Food portions were a good size and everything had a unique take on the expected flavor (in a good way). The General Tso's wasn't the same as 99% of chinese places but still was good, same for the Hibachi steak which had a slight BBQ flavor taste and the Hibachi chicken which had a slight teriyaki taste to it.

I got the same excuse about not taking the coupon from the entertainment book (which was the main reason we went here) but the woman behind the register said she would offer me some discount on my order. We ate our food in the restaurant and was served in paper baskets and styrofoam plates and food came out when it was ready.

Great place for Hibachi - have taken out the past few months here - and the portion size is huge - you will have another meal left the next day - the food tastes fresh and looks good. The only thing I would do differently here is not cook the vegetables to that soggy point - keep them more crisp, because they are more on the mushy side, but overall the hibachi chicken, and the hibachi steak and shrimp have been very good. Busy place for take out that I can tell you. This place is MUCH better than Kiko Japan Express, where I have gone and gotten sick eating several times - along with the fact that their portion size is ridiculously small in comparison. I am saying you get DOUBLE the food at Yummy then you do at Kiko Japan Express (they are cheap, even when you ask for more they don't give it to you - cheap cheap cheap). I've tried the majority of Asian restaurants in the Knightdale area since moving here a bit over a year ago, and so far this is my favorite. The portions are huge and for a good price, but the food stands out too. I get steak and chicken hibachi - the steak is of your personal preference and cooked very nicely. The chicken is very sweet and the rice is a little better than average. Dumplings are good with super friendly staff too!

My complaints would be location - pulling in and parking can be a pain, because it's next door to Walmart. Also their fountain drink machine was broken last time I was there but not the end of the world. Finally, I prefer delivery but they don't offer it directly or on DoorDash which I use.
