First of all DO NOT BOOK A PM HAIRCUT. I learned that the hard way. MAKE SURE THE SUPERVISOR CHECKS IN BEFORE ANY CUTTING. The supervisor was nearly nonexistent, it ended up being the person standing off to the side who kept looking at her phone. She gives zero feedback to my stylist the entire time until the very end when she literally just snipped her way around my head and said “good job”to the stylist and walked away I asked for a Bob just above my shoulders. I left with a chop at about ear lobe length. Let me just say it was giving Lord Fahrquad from Shrek vibes. She even parted it in the middle and styled it with a round brush. I was also told there would be a questionnaire afterwards and the supervisor just asked if I liked my haircut and I said its short but it’s fine and left as fast as I could. I had to go home and see for myself after not being styled improperly (which enhanced the wide at the bottom look). Anyway, the next day I called to give proper feedback and let them know how poor my experience was. The person I spoke to on the phone told me they were the perfect person to give this feedback to. They begged me to come back and assured me that they would put me with a stylist who was about to graduate, they said they would breathe them on the situation, etc. a refund was also promised. I went in the next day, I don’t know if anyone was briefed on what happened. My stylist told me she was not about to graduate and was very nervous. I will say that the supervisor checked in a ton of times this time. The second haircut was better. I didn’t expect it to be perfect coming here in the first place but at this point I think I will not be satisfied with anything that anyone can do until my hair grows. I wanted to leave this because I don’t want anyone else to fall victim like I did. I would give zero stars for my p.m. appointment. I’d probably give three or four stars for my daytime appointment. My stylist tried her best. I do feel a little misled overall for both appointments. I never received a refund as I was assured I would on the phone when I had called but I was trying not to ask about it on my way out since at that point I was being overcrowded with people asking me if I liked it better this time. Anyway, I don’t plan to come back for any type of haircut. I might consider one of their other services in the future. If you come for a hair service please heed this warning: ASK QUESTIONS AND HAVE THEM SHARE UPDATES ALONG THE WAY. Because I’m kicking myself for not being more involved and having too much trust in that first...
Read moreNope. Just awful. The SUPERVISOR ended up cutting my hair for the ENTIRETY of the cut and the quality of the cut was just awful. This supervisor had actually dismissed the student who looked bewildered and completely uncomfortable in what she was doing. The supervisor measured nothing on my hair, no comb, no brush, was pulling out my hair as it was knotted and tangled (After a "botanical conditioning treatment', no less!! my hair was dry, knotted and frizzy, and I had to go wash it at home immediately after the cut and "conditioning treatment"!!) This lady abstractly grabbed sections of my hair to 'layer' it. Despite agreeing at the beginning that they were able to do what I asked, she confessed at the end of the cut when it was over that she wasn't skilled in cutting the style we'd agreed upon. This supervisor had about THREE DOZEN interactions with different students during my cut and was barely paying attention to what she was doing with my hair. I'm shocked that she wasn't a student herself. I got home and one side's length was a literal two inches longer than the other.. remember she measured nothing, no comb, just looked like she was abstractly cutting while talking to other people the entire time. I went back to them a 2nd time to fix this and while the student was more knowledgable than the first student and supervisor from the first cut combined, I still left with an entirely different hair cut than I'd asked for, and upon checking it's still not entirely the same length and even on both sides! I guess measuring and taking 2 seconds to compare that the sides are even is absent from the instruction in this place. I've even been to other aveda teaching salons and never had this experience of lack of attention to detail and basic skills in carrying out a haircut. In fact this is my second time at this particular location! This was not at all my experience the first time I went here. In fact, the supervisor was very friendly and skilled, and gave me a nice cut. That's why I came back for this 2nd (and unwanted 3rd) appointment. Never again, I would not recommend booking here if you care about your haircut and what you'll look like if you don't want to pay to get someone else at a different establishment to fix...
Read moreI been going to this location for quite a long time, Every 6-8 weeks for over three years. I have never missed appointment, have had them change my appointment or the stylist, and I've always been accommodating. I made an appointment on Saturday June 20 when I was there for both me and my best friend, on Saturday, July 27. I made my appointment earlier than the six -8 weeks because we have important things coming up that we wanted to make sure our hair was looking good for. less than 24 hours before I'm due to show up tomorrow, I get a phone call saying they're canceling my appointment. because the girl is not gonna be there for a week. normally, I would never care and have been shifted around before, but this was really important, it was going to be girls day starting with breakfast and then the salon, etc., and I just got booted. i'm sure they get a lot of newcomers and I even mentioned on the phone, " I guess Tenure doesn't mean anything" or when they knew how important this was when I booked the appointment to begin with. it was stressed even to them that if anything changes, please give us ample time to be able to find somewhere else. so my friend is just gonna go by herself without me. I just asked them to send me my color codes and I already called Paul Mitchell and will start a long relationship with them hopefully. it's really just too bad because I Had a good relationship with them, but the way that this was handled was very disappointing. I literally was just going in for a color this time. I called the school to get my color codes so I could take it to Paul Mitchell, I noticed that they were from 2023 and I had vibrant blue put in in 2024. I noticed that on the card that they sent me there was no blue, I called the school to get that before I go there and was informed there was no notes at all by the instructor or the student on what formulation they made. seems to be lost...
