Always enjoyable every time I go! I went to see Eternals on a Tuesday, which is half price tickets, and it wasn't super busy during the 6pm time surprisingly. Previews can last 15-20 minutes if you happen to be running late for a movie and I would recommend the parking garage for parking on the weekends as it is free and on the weekdays I believe it is free after 6pm. This theater still has an area where you purchase tickets outside if someone is in the booth and if not you are able to purchase your tickets at the concessions station. The concessions have a good amount of hot food by the way and you may be waiting about 5-6 minutes for your food to cook so come a bit earlier for that. There is a bar located on the far left as soon as you walk in. I would come earlier if you plan to get alcohol because that bar can get packed quickly and they only have one person usually behind it. The theaters themselves have stadium seating and no recliners. I don't think they are spacing people out from COVID anymore so if you want to be far from people you might wanna wait for the movie to be out a bit longer to stay safe. The theater also has a lot of restaurants in the area if you wish to eat before the movie. It is located on Gay St. right across from Market Square. If you would like to catch the bus to see a movie, the Knoxville Area Transit station is located not too far from the theater and trolleys do stop very close to...
Read moreNestled in the heart of the bustling downtown area, Regal Riviera offers a cinema experience that stands out from the usual suburban multiplex. It's relatively rare to find a full multi-screen movie theater in such an urban setting, and Regal Riviera not only fits the bill but also adds its own unique flair with a full-service bar located near the entrance.
Upon entering the theater, I was immediately struck by the convenience of being able to grab a drink before the show. The presence of a full-service bar is a delightful addition, allowing moviegoers to enjoy a cocktail or a glass of wine along with their popcorn and candy. This feature elevates the overall movie-watching experience, making it more akin to an evening out at a venue that caters to a mature audience looking for a little extra in their cinematic journey.
The pricing at Regal Riviera is on par with other movie theaters, which is pleasantly surprising considering its prime downtown location and added amenities. This makes it an accessible option for a wide range of movie enthusiasts looking for entertainment without breaking the bank.
What truly set Regal Riviera apart during my visit was the staff. Each member I encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful, contributing to a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Their enthusiasm for cinema and genuine care for the guests' experience made a noticeable difference, enhancing the enjoyment of my...
Read morePros: Location, parking, well kept Cons: Different Regals have different concessions .. it'd be nice if this one added a few items that the others have. Some of the cavernous theaters could easily be converted to the recliner seats they have at the Cinnebarre.
This is my favorite theater in town in terms of atmosphere, location, and friendly folks working at it. The downtown location has incredibly easy to navigate, free parking in a covered garage directly behind the stadium.
The only things I would like to see at this theater are some of the more comfortable seats like they have at the Cinnebarre. 2 of the screens at the Riviera are huge and I have never seen those full even for the largest movies. Those could easily be converted. One of them is so large it has an elevator for chrissakes.
What's interesting about Regal is that every single theater seems to have its own concessions list. This theater has the best pretzel sticks by far, but I wish they'd add hamburgers like the pinnacle and cinnebarre have.
The bar at this location is perfect for the size available.
And this isn't specific for this theater -- but if you visit more than one movie at a Regal a month the Regal Unlimited pass is a SUPER deal, plus you get 10% of concessions. It's maybe a buck or two more than the cost of a...
