Loved this museum. Only open on Saturday and Sunday but it is worth the wait. It's free but they do have a place for donations. I went to see the Czech eggs and they are beautiful. Each one is prettier than the last. They are not cheap but considering all the labor that goes into them the price isn't outrageous. The ladies that work there are very informative and very nice. I enjoyed seeing all the accordions in the music room. I didn't know Omaha had a Czech band back in the day .. The Christmas ornaments are also unique and very special..

What a neat place. I stopped in with my son, and we walked around and saw all the things. Checked out the gift shop, and we're able to get some kolaches to take home with us. The ladies that were running the museum were so sweet and shared many memories and stories with us from the past. Parking was easy. Nice place to chill off in summer and learn some history and culture.

They're still searching for their permanent home, and I have confidence in my thumbs they will! The artifacts are rich in color and history. I'm not of Czech decent, Gaulic runs through my veins, and the welcoming committee was still very generous.
