The Lafayette Flea – A Treasure Trove Worth Getting Lost In
The Lafayette Flea is one of those rare places where you can walk in with no expectations and leave with a bag full of treasures—and a story or two. It’s not just a flea market; it’s an adventure.
Every booth has its own vibe, and as you weave through the aisles, it feels like you’re stepping into dozens of different worlds all under one roof. One moment you’re looking at mid-century furniture, the next you’re holding a knife that looks like it came from a mountain man’s belt or a collector’s display case. The quality and variety of knives here is surprisingly impressive—vintage blades, handmade pieces, and even some tactical finds for the EDC crowd.
And just a few steps away, there’s a booth with gems and crystals that sparkle under the lights like a dragon’s hoard. Whether you’re into the metaphysical side of stones or you’re just drawn to their natural beauty, it’s hard not to stop and admire the collection.
If you’re into sports, this place doesn’t disappoint. There’s a solid stash of sports memorabilia—everything from classic Broncos merch to old-school baseball cards, autographs, and nostalgic items that take you straight back to your childhood bedroom wall or your first trip to a game. Tons of trading cards and Graded Slabs!
Then there’s the vintage clothing. Not just a few racks thrown together—actual curated pieces that feel like time capsules. Denim, band tees, leather jackets, boots with real character. It’s the kind of place where you might find that one statement piece that becomes your favorite item of clothing.
What I love most is the mix of odd and beautiful. Art, vinyl, taxidermy, antique tools, quirky home décor—there’s something here for every kind of collector or creative soul. You never know what you’re going to find, and honestly, that’s the best part. The people are friendly, and many of the vendors are passionate about what they’re selling, which makes it even better.
I’ve been to a lot of flea markets, but Lafayette Flea has this cozy, authentic energy that makes it stand out. It’s not pretentious, it’s not overpriced—it’s just packed with cool stuff and good people. Whether you’re hunting for something specific or just want to wander, you won’t leave empty-handed.
Highly recommend carving out some time to check it out. Just be warned—you’ll probably end up staying longer than...
Read moreI usually love this flea market as well as bring many friends and family to it that return later with others. I would be rating it 5 stars if it wasn't for this last experience. The night before I had been in the store and spotted an old card table with chairs but alas, only 3 chairs were there. On the way out I noticed the 4th green chair was put in the lobby with a "free" sign and brought it to the attention of someone inside. I came back this morning to purchase that set. As I am looking for the rest of the set, I noticed the green chair was again put there for free. Luckily I found it before anyone grabbed it. I wish I could contact the owner of the booth because I am sure they wouldn't be happy about it. What bothered me further is one of the ladies in charge at the store immediately rushed to make excuses as well as throw away the "free" tag. There was no thank you nor apology nor discount for that. This bothered me alot because of how much I enjoy this flea market. Unfortunately I would never rent a booth at the lafayette flea market after that experience. I hope someone from the market reaches out with an explanation and apology...
Read moreMy experience was going great until one of the women that works there decided to yell at my daughter for sitting in wheel chair and sitting on a kids toy car. My daughter in no way came close to damaging or breaking anything and there were no signs present that said to specifically stay off of them. The woman who yelled at her was totally out of line, my daughter is 7 years old and is very well behaved when in stores. She made my little girl cry for touching a couple items and that is unacceptable. I had almost $400 worth of stuff that I was planing on buying but now I won't step foot in there again. If I could I would give them 0 stars. I'm sure my money is not that important to them but I still had to...
