Pho Café — Restaurant in Lafayette

Waited 40 minutes for this place to open. For nothing. They changed the wonton recipe completely, now they are tiny and just like Panda Express wontons. The sweet and sour is as thin as water with NO flavor. I will never return here. We kept calling while sitting out front watching them wash the inside windows from outside. Finally the answered the phone to take my order 10 min before they opened. I had to wait for them to unlock the door after 11, and she promised my order would have been ready in 10 minutes. 18 minutes later it was ready, which my additional wait time could have been prevented if they would have answered the phone. I literally waited for this place to open since they were closed all weekend for Christmas, and I didn’t get to go last year when I visited Colorado because they closed for TWO WEEKS. So yeah, after waiting two years, I looked in the bag and saw the changed wontons. I regret not asking for my money back. I had to wait for food that takes no time hardly to prepare, but I used to love going here so I thought it would be worth the wait but no! The TARO DRINK HAD ZERO SUGAR!!!! I can’t believe how downhill this place has gone. Plus they posted all these rude signs on the front door stating price increases, last call 8:15pm, etc. they are a selfish business and didn’t receive a tip today from me. I WILL NOT BE BACK! Pho cafe you have lost my business. The lady answering phones was very rude also! Don’t lie to people about the wait time if you’re not going to have it ready! I know they opened at 11, but if people are calling at least tell them you open at 11, don’t wash the windows in front of customers and mock them while they’ve been waiting for you to open before you even arrived to your job. Bs. We waited for this place to open so we could hit the road for a 12 hour drive home. I know it’s not their fault that I’m on a time constraint, but still different protocols could have been taken and the additional wait time, no sign stating the recipes have changed, is deceitful of a good business where people return for the same food they know the place for. I regret spending my money here and will never be back. Oh, also I had to request help because the lady making silverware packs ignored me coming from the restroom to the front. She asked me to sit down and wait I said no I’m in a hurry I’ve been here since 10:30am! They said it would be ready in 10 min. She also couldn’t even give me a receipt because THE CARD READER WAS AT 1% BATTERY AT THE TIME OF OPENING. sounds like someone needs help this place...

I placed a take out order yesterday. I got home and didn't have the correct order. I ordered the Vietnamese egg rolls. I did get the vegetables to wrap it in. I called the restaurant and they said they would give me a double order. I said I could not come back in that night. I said I did have the vegetables. They said to come back in and they would make a double order. I came back in today and said I had the wrong order yesterday. The woman at the front said just a minute and put my order in a plastic bag I did not tell her I was coming to pick up a new order. I left and really wondered if this was my order from yesterday.They assured me it was but how could it be I just walked in how did they know I was coming. I took it home it was cold and no vegetables in it. It had to be last nights order they were giving me. A friend of mine returned it they denied it was last nights order. It was a double order without the vegetables. I told them I had the vegetables last night. So all in all I was given day-old food that was kept under the warmer.I was trained as a dietitian majoring in food safety and sanitation this is unacceptable. I am calling the health department I hope I do not get food poisoning tonight. They treated my friend with disrespect. I hope this review will change your thoughts about the customer experience. Worst server experience of my entire life. Took 55 minutes to get our food when people around us with other servers were sat 15 mins after us and ordered/ate/paid/left before we saw our food. Had to go to the counter and say we were forgotten about.

Witnessed the same server take the plate of bean sprouts/jalepenos/basil that different table hadn't touched much and put it on our table. The basil was wilted and the limes had already been squeezed out, gross!!!!

Menu shows an image of sesame tofu with a bunch of veggies. Plate arrived with 6 small pieces of broccoli that had barely been microwaved from frozen minutes before.

Table next to us had a small baby in a high chair and the table specifically requested the server bring their hot soups around opposite side of table when they were ready. Unsurprisingly the server totally forgot and nearly spilled boiling hot soup on the baby's head. The mother nearly had a heart attack.

Was so upset by the time the food arrived that I didn't enjoy it one bit. Unacceptable and I'll never be back for fear of having this terrible experience and...
