This is a great place for atmosphere and ambiance. I want to love this place because of that and the staff are nice but they just aren't critical thinkers.
I've ordered the acai bowl and paid for it a few times but I've only gotten it once. It shows bananas on the image and it does normally come with it but they've been out of stock. Which is not the problem. Everything is out of stock lately. But most places tell you when you order not after you pay and receive only portions of what you paid for.
Twice this has happened.
So to take ownership in my situation in order I called ahead. Like I said, I'm really trying to like this place.
I told them the past few times they have been out of bananas when I ordered the acai bowl and I wanted to make sure they had them before I came in. The staff member let me know they did have bananas.
I drove up and ordered the bowl and the acai machine was broken so they couldn't make it.
Thus my comment on critical thinking. Not sure how I could have saved them from this poor review besides calling ahead and being extremely detailed about ingredients. I imagine at that point, there would be a bowl shortage if I didn't ask for cutlery.
So I've given up. It's a nice atmosphere but the staff just needs some training on critical thinking. Or just in putting a sticky note over items they can't make at the time like other...
Read moreI came in with my kids this morning. I was very uncomfortable in your coffee shop. The lack of diversity and odd glances were clear that my children and i were not welcomed in your shop. The ladies who worked behind the counter were rude, flirty with male customers while ignoring my order i placed after i paid.. They served every body else and had me and my children wait over 35 minutes for our tea and coffee order. The second order, my daughter wanted a hot ham and cheese sandwich. there was no one behind us so i assumed the order would only take a few minutes. This order took almost 40 minutes because they were talking to each other and getting other orders. they heated and served everybody else really fast but had us wait again. by that time, they left her order sitting on the counter without telling me it was ready when i was standing beside the counter. I asked if this was her sandwich, one of them said yes in a rude way. Her sandwich was burnt and thought i would not have noticed that. To give an 8 year old a burnt sandwich is despicable. I spent over 30 dollars at your shop. we spent over an hour total for our orders that should have taken 10 or 15 minutes .I will not be going back there again. If i had known serving people of color was a problem for this shop, i would not have taken myself and my children...
Read moreI planned to work from this cafe for the morning, ordered a strawberry cream latte and a scone. The scone was alright, the latte was awful and I should have known strawberry doesn't belong in coffee. My wifi did not seem to be connecting so I asked the barista about it, she responded I should try turning my laptop off and on again (I had) and that hers is working fine so she can't do anything. I asked her if I could try using the non guest wifi to see that would connect. She responded that she doesn't give that out (understandable) but I was just trying to diagnose if it was my laptop or that specific wifi that was the issue. I tried connecting using my phone as well and it said connected, but no internet 🤷♀️ she told me to just let her know if I "continued having problems" and I let her know that I basically couldn't use it at all. She probably just needed to restart the router but I just left. I tipped $2 on the coffee and honestly regret it as the customer service kinda sucked, and so did the coffee.
