This school is horrible. I received no help or support from any one at this school. the teaching strategy is poor and when asked as a class on what they could do to help us we mentioned some options, but the teaching strategy never changed. (Says a lot if you’re asking the students how to teach). also let’s talk about bullying. in my personal experience i was commented on how I looked in front of other students, because i looked tired (i was working and going to school full time). another incident i turned in a duplicate assessment and received a zero (this was accidental, and it was obvious it was accidental) i expressed my accidental assessment and the response i got back was " well you should of ment what you sent". (And I do have receipts for this if anyone is asking because this discussion was in an email.) i brought it up to the dean with the receipts and nothing was done. another incident was a teacher was confused as to why I wasn’t on the floor at clinical helping patients ( i was actually doing my care plan because my nurse only had two patients at the time and there was down time, so i worked on something that i would have to finish to pass clinicals which i explained to her) before she came up and "confronted me " ( as she put it), she went to another student and asked if i was doing anything. the student replied “yes” and(the teacher) she commented back stating "oh, i wanted to make sure before i confronted her”. this was not the only time she confined into another student about what she disliked about me. i proceeded to write me an email to her and expressed my concerns about how she was acting towards me because i did not feel comfortable being around her at this point. (i also have receipts showing the incident and the conversation we had in an email.) again, this was never resolved. it says a lot when you have teachers quitting and only working one semester. we have had teachers quit two times before our finals. left us and fully unprepared. also had a teacher put in grades we never even took before she left, which caused a lot of us to drop a whole letter grade when staff finally realized and took grades back. i never had not one semester of a good experience. and felt unprepared on almost every test we took. i managed to look into other schools before i left this program, i called keiser clearwater for my vax records, and i was told they didn’t have those files, it’s very concerning about where my personal medical records are and who has them. and not to mention when i was attending the school me and other students was asked every semester to reenter medical documents. that they claimed they couldn’t find or missed placed. this is a HIPPA VIOLATION! this school only passes enough people to keep their accreditation. (Keep that in mind). Please don’t be a victim to this so-called establishment of a “school”. Pay your money elsewhere.
Shout out to my cohort who survived Keiser clearwater . i am soo...
Read moreKeiser University Clearwater Campus has been the best college experience I’ve had. After high school, I took a few courses at SPC, and then transfered to a different local technical college. The program there was long hours, took away so much time from my family and was extremely intense. The staff did not help in any way or even care about anyone’s personal life. Keiser is completely different. It has been amazing from Day 1. My admissions advisor gave me so many details and spent so much time with me explaining everything. I was never rushed into a program there. I’m going into my 6 month there and everyone has been so wonderful. From the Campus President, The Dean, The Student Academic Advisor, The bookstore staff, The librarian, and most importantly, the professors-who you are are gaining so much knowledge from-have been so amazing. It’s an understatement to say that the professsors care about your education. They take so much time in helping you understand and actually gain and retain the knowledge you need to be successful. It is a fun, relaxed, business- professional atmosphere which shows the quality of the school. Everyone there truly helps you in so many ways to succeed on the path to earning your degree. After receiving only average grades at other colleges, the professors at Keiser are always there to help you and are absolutely wonderful in teaching in a way you understand the information. I’m proud to say that since I’ve been there I have learned so much and have maintained a 4.0 GPA. Being a single mother of 3 younger children, I take pride attending Keiser and being able to maintain high academic achievements. Keiser has been a life changer for me and i can’t express enough how grateful I am for all that the school does to help the students in so many ways. I will be a Seahawk for life! #KeiserUniversityClearwater...
Read moreThere is authoritative leadership at this campus, and until leadership's mentality is changed, the campus is doomed to fail. Leadership (Academic Dean and Campus President) want faculty "Yes-Men". Don't ever challenge them or call them out on their malarkey because they will deem you unstable or having anger issues. If you're in a managerial role, they will use your professional credentials to maintain accreditation, yet give you no control over the program. They abuse the word "oversight" to justify their castration of programs directors' authority.
The only redeemable quality this campus has is the faculty, and even they have one foot out the door, waiting for greener grass to present itself. Morale is palpably low, and it's unfortunate because the majority of the faculty here genuinely really want success for their students.
Potential students: There are cheaper schools in the area to give you exactly what you need. This campus is so hungry to grow their student population that they will enroll students in programs knowing they will fail. There is no true academic advisement here. It's all sales. You will have to repeat your classes, and ultimately pay more money; digging yourself deeper in debt. Leadership has also made decisions against policy on multiple occasions by letting students repeat courses more than the mandated two times.
Don't waste your time or money here. There are even better Keiser locations, if you're drawn to the appeal of taking classes one at a time for a month. If you ever plan on going to a Keiser campus, know that you can never work and continue with your sanity if you have an on-campus class.
If you're looking for the convenience of an online institution, I assure you there are cheaper...
