Restaurant Boustan — Restaurant in Largo

I really wanted to like this place but they play with the portions. I asked for babaganoush on my bowl they gave like 2 tbsp… Pita doesn’t come with a bowl like I know there’s rice, but it’s kind of customary in Mediterranean and middle eastern dining to include pita. Last but not least I was drawn in by the photo of the fried halloumi, looked like a nice big portion my friend and I could share, the photo showed 10 pieces. Please see the photo of what I received. 3 whole pieces, along with 1 partial and 2 half pieces… So about 4.75 pcs total. The worker said it comes with 6 pcs (change the photo on your wall) and didn’t seem to mind when I clearly pointed out that I had 3 pieces and some partials. They could have kept that. It wasn’t worth almost $2 per little piece of cheese. I’ll say what I have to say in the moment & give a place the chance to make it right, I won’t ask for my money back. Please add a way to order online as yelling over a glass wall what I want is the main reason I don't often come back. I really want the food, but struggle to hear and communicate in a loud room over a glass wall. I'd much rather pick my options and then simply pick up my food when ready.

Excited that this restaurant is coming to our area. I stopped in yesterday after the gym and the staff was super nice and helpful. The shawarma was very good and I'm sure we will get it often going forward. I'm excited for when they are available to order online for pickup because my hearing is not great when there is all that background noise. I guess that would be my only complaint is there is so much echo and background noise that I struggle to hear the person behind the glass. Boustan is hands down one of the best spots I’ve tried in a while especially for something quick! The food is incredibly fresh and packed with flavor you can taste the quality in every bite. It’s such a refreshing change from the usual fast food or bland takeout spots. The ingredients are vibrant, the portions are very generous, everything is cooked to perfection. What really sets Boustan apart is how different and authentic it feels compared to other places that just don’t hit the mark — this place absolutely stands out. And on top of the amazing food, the service is just as impressive. I’d like to mention Jopi is always so pleasant and accommodating, going out of their way to make sure every visit is a great one.
