Golden Gate Ferry — Local services in Larkspur

I’ve taken the Giants ferry quite a few times this year with my daughter to the games. We usually sit next to the snack bar when we get on. The one constant are the 2 guys who work that bar. I’ve always observed them to be friendly, courteous, customer service oriented. On the ferry home from the giants game Friday September 26th. Someone had thrown up on the stairs leading to the lower deck. I got up and started a conversation with Joe who was working the bar and said, and people wonder why they don’t serve alcohol on the way back from the game. I observed several people become annoyed with Joe when he pointed out no alcohol on the ferry back. The majority of them were people who clearly didn’t need any more alcohol. Joe is a great industry guy and I wish I had stirred up a conversation earlier with him in the year. Thank you to the incredible Carlos, who not only was kind enough to help two stranded tourists navigate the bus/train/ferry schedule ( which are not connected/synchronized and have no communication between the three to communicate changes/delays to commuters) but went above and beyond to help said tourists get to a more commuter friendly area to avoid waiting over an hour for the next bus. Ferry is great they only charge 8 dollars from ferry building to Sausalito and back to ferry building (if you choose to stay back in the ferry, its the same ferry which does to-and-fro between Sausalito and ferry building.

But the bar inside the ferry is terrible. They charge a lot for simple drinks. They charged me $34 dollars for a double jim beam. You can probably get the whole bottle in that amount 😀
