What a spectacular outdoor area to have a party or celebration. The area and grounds are just beautiful. They have a couple cabanas on a first come first serve basis, so get there early. Each cabana has a picnic table and a grill. There are also plenty of lounge chairs around you can grab for seating. Then when it gets too hot just jump into the lagoon. It's part of the lake but every well maintained. It has a sand bottom. I believe it is for residents only but a quick phone call would answer that. But it is a wonderful place to spend your afternoon. We jumped in a pontoon boat after the sun went down and went out on the lake to watch the dueling fireworks from neighbors around the lake. Although we couldn't see any of the big fireworks displays close enough from surrounding areas it was nice to watch little Homebrew fireworks displays from the neighbors. It even seemed that some of the neighbors were competing against each other which was fun but being out on the lake it was very interesting because you could not only see the fireworks but this reflection of them on the water. It was very beautiful ❤️

Desert Shores is a nice place to hang out in the afternoon, just sit down and watch the geese walking on the pathway or swimming at the lake. If you visit with a Community member you can go inside.. stroll around and enjoy the quiet, relaxing atmosphere. It is in Summerlin neighborhoods, just stopby park your car on the street, sit and relax!

I'm Extremely disappointed and discussed with the personal of the rental club house specially women named KELLE Alvarez. We rented out the club house for my husbands 50 bday party and they told us to be done by 12 . I have to add that they won't even set up chairs or tables for you . You have to do all that by yourself and they want you to put all the chairs tables folded on the rail they provide they want you to mop the floor turn the place spotless . So by 12 we were done cleaning all the place spotless we went to look for the guy that supposed to check us out and he was no where to be found after 15 min he showed up saying he was in the bathroom . He started looking around and we asked him how the garbage disposal works and he said he doesn't know and he went to get somebody else . He came back after another 7 min bringing another girl and after waisting another 5 min they said they don't know how it works . Then they went outside and made us move all the trash bags from where they told us previously to put in the morning to carry them one by one in their dump stairs which was their duty to do . By then now it's 12:30 and the guy asks for tip and saying he would help us out which I didn't understand what it means . So we signed a paper and I even gave him a tip which he didn't deserve after signing the paper . Then in the morning I get a call from the most rudest unprofessional person that I ever encountered name KELLE ALVAREZ and she asked for 100 $ fine for being 30 min late . I tried to explained what has happened and we were done by 12 and she said she doesn't care and was very rude to me . I told her I want to talk to Manenger and every time she answered the phone told me he is not in the office . I have to address that she is the one that manages the club house rental . Then they cashed the check for 500 security deposit without my permission and without giving me a benefit of doubt and and talk to their staff regarding that night . I'm not a type of person to write reviews but I have been so poorly so unprofessionally treated by them that I felt a need to write a review . After talking to few people that rented out the club house I realized they had the same experience I will try to ask them to voice their review so hopefully the management would change their staffing and how they treat people . It's a shame bc it's a...

Really nice place. But I have a tad bit of a problem with one of the female lifeguards. If you're going to set rules upon one person, make sure that there are not others doing the exact same thing. My friends daughter, who is 12, felt she was singled out and embarrassed by this life guard in front of everyone. She's overweight and extremely self conscious from being bullied in school. So much that her mother had to withdraw her from school and start home schooling her. So she was wearing a tshirt and capris on top of her bathing suit because she's too uncomfortable showing any skin. So, this one particular lifeguard made the decision that she was going to rudely tell this girl that street clothes are not permitted and to get out of the water and off the beach. Mind you we were at a birthday party with a whole bunch of other parents and street clothed individuals. She only got in the water to assist the little children who needed assisting. (Ya know the life guards job) And when I witnessed how she spoke to her, I was shocked. And shocked even more when I turned around and saw another man in his long shorts, long shirt, hat and glasses in the water wading around. And then two more kids, around the same age as her, in street clothes as well and nothing was said to them. And yes, they were all skinny. So we can't help but feel like she was targeted and cast out because of her weight. She still has not stopped crying and this was supposed to be a fun outing for her. They will not be returning and I will be looking...
