I wanted to write a review on this store. I thought when I moved here it was just a fishing, hunting gear store , but it's so much more. I love hiking and was told I might find new boots here. I bought a pair of Keen's a year ago and it was time for a new pair. I purchased some Merrill's on sale about a month ago on line I finally got to really try them out in a couple hikes but they were faulty. It felt like walking on pebbles and I couldn't go more for very long. I felt bad but called the store and talked to Ethan. He suggested I bring them in and talk to a manager. I brought them in and Scarlett who had originally helped me when I picked them up recognized me right away. She totally understood my problem and tried desperately to help me find another boot. As it turns out my sizes were not in stock for what I wanted (One was on sale) so I was refunded so I can go on line and order them for store pick up. I can't decide on getting another pair of Keen since they fit my skinny ankles best or go for another brand. Scarlett was awesome and helpful. I need to also mention Marjie and there's another person I don't know the name that originally helped with my first pair of boots. I have had the others Scarlett and Ethan, few times and I love this store . I always get the best service and they care about making sure I was happy, they deserve raises for sure or a great bonus because they truly work hard keeping us happy. Read moreWhen I walked in here, I thought I was transported to the point in my life when I used to live in the Midwest, and that's not necessarily a bad thing either. The employees at the front of the store immediately greeted my wife and I upon entrance which was very welcoming. I know there are folks out there that are more into hunting and fishing than I am, therefore, they'd probably walk in this store and get equally as excited as a kid would walking into a toy section of a department store.
For me, I can appreciate all the guns and accessories; and camping equipment this business has to offer. I don't know when this store first opened at this location but we've come to this area on numerous occasions and never noticed this place. The only reason why I wanted to visit for the first time was due to an ad I received in the mail advertising their sale on ammo (kudos to the marketing department). Needless to say, I'm glad we visited because it's a nice store. Since this is a "warehouse," there was so much room to walk around without feeling like you're going to bump into someone.
Unfortunately, I didn't put too much effort into comparing prices to other stores in this city selling similar products, so I can't specify if the prices are reasonable or not. I will however, mention that I respect this store for supporting the active men and women of the Armed Forces and its Veterans - this is highly appreciated! Read moreI am so unimpressed by my experience with this store of the last week it is difficult to fully verbalize. I ordered a couple firearms and several parts last week. Got an email that the parts were ready to pick up so decided to go in to do my 4473 (background check) while the several bags of other items were ready the firearms hadn’t been dealt with yet so they had to hurry up and handle them so I could start the background check. I was told 1-3 days for the background check which is fairly standard. 3 days later I called to check the person I spoke with wasn’t interested in actually checking just said it would be 5-8 days and they only process 10 checks a day. Frustrated I went to another shop bought the same items and had them released same day. I called to cancel the firearms waiting for the background check, and was told they were cancelled and I’d receive the refund shortly. Went and returned several of parts I bought the next day, as I bought them at the other store as well, and asked because I had only received 1 refund and was told I had to call an 800 number. So I did. I was then told it would take 3 days to investigate and another 7-10 to get a refund. I called today (3days later) and they never actually did anything. The more expensive of the gun was cancelled but not really and they can’t do anything until this afternoon and then the clock starts over. So it turns out because they pay for the lowest level tier of the NICS system available, and never actually follow their jobs through they get to hold on to $1500 of my money...
