The Spa at Lakeside 2.0 — Attraction in Las Vegas

I was excited to bring my boyfriend here for his birthday and to surprise him with a couples massage based on the great reviews. I had called to book an appointment one week prior for “The Spa at Lakeside Couple Celebration” package which includes a 80 minute massage and foot treatment.

We arrived early, checked in and waited to be called back. When they called us back, they took me and my boyfriend to separate rooms. I informed my massage therapist, Angel, that I booked for a couples massage. Angel went to check in with the front desk lady to confirm. The front desk lady came back to talk to me and told me that their couples massage suite was already booked at the time when I made the appointment and said that the person who booked my appointment had already informed me and that I was aware of it. I told them that it was not true and they did not tell me it was already booked. The person who booked my appointment only told me that they only have a male and a female masseuse that day and asked me if I was ok with it. I told them that it was ok and that I would like the male masseuse with my boyfriend and I’ll have the female masseuse. If I would have known that the couples massage suite was already booked and not available that day then I would have booked it a separate day. I’m trying to surprise my boyfriend with a couples massage so why would I make the appointment for that day if I would have known that it was already booked… The front desk lady briefly apologized and said that couples suite is not available and asked if I would like to reschedule to a different day. I was really disappointed and annoyed because I feel like they did not take any accountability for it, just brushed it off, and made me feel like it was my fault because apparently I was already “aware” that the couples suite was not available.

I decided to keep the appointment since we were already there and we had plans for the day. It was my first time getting a massage and Angel made me feel very comfortable and was very attentive. It was a great experience and I highly recommend Angel. My boyfriend also had a good experience with his masseuse, Luis.

After the massage, we got the Foot Awakening treatment. It was below my expectations and I wouldn’t recommend it. They exfoliate your leg and foot with an exfoliating glove and then they exfoliate it again with a sugar scrub. I feel like it was excessive and my legs were so over exfoliated that it burned and hurt that night when I showered. They also wrap your legs in plastic for deep hydration. The actual foot and leg massage felt like it was only about 10-15 minutes max. But it doesn’t really feel like a massage, it feels more like they’re trying to rub the lotion in. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend the Foot Awakening treatment and it’s definitely not worth it for the price.

Although their customer service was poor, their massage therapists are great. If I were to come back again, I would only do the massage or their “Couple Romance Massage” package, which is just the 80 minute massage for two, and make sure you actually confirm that it is available for the day you...

The Spa at Lakeside 2.0 is every bit worth the drive we made from Huntington Beach, CA to Las Vegas for a day of relaxation and pampering.

My sister and I visited as part of her birthday present this year and went all out getting the 4 hour package with facial, massage, body wrap and raja treatment and needless to say we left rejuvenated. Upon walking in we were greeted by the owner Ricky who help curate the package we were using for our services. He walked us through the facility stopping to pay homage to his mother who started the spa many years ago. This home touch feel was all the extra step of customer service I can easily justify the 4 hour drive for.

Starting with facials, Katelyn and Nicole took us to our respective rooms and for an hour we were massaged, oiled, conversed with and put to ease by these amazing miracle workers. I was a novice to facials and Nicole thoroughly explained what she was doing and why and answered all my questions along the way. My sister, much more experienced in these pampering said Katelynn did an amazing job as well.

For the reminder of our visit we were placed with Kit and Julian.

Since we were in separate rooms I did not have much time with my sister and her masseuse but from the time we did spent was lovely and made the vibe of old friends hanging out versus a cold customer service approach I sometimes encounter with massages.

I must say somewhere between the forced requirement to chill out while in the body wrap to the massage I was at ease. I had tension spots worked out I have felt for years was not resolved. Dare I call it heaven?! I almost fell asleep which I have never managed to do in a massage before.

We absolutely will be back since my birthday is coming up soon but next time we will not plan for just the day in Vegas so we can thoroughly enjoy the after effects...

My sister bought me a massage and a facial for Christmas last year December 17,2020. We couldn’t get our schedules to work until March 20,2021. We went to the spa at lakeside. I was scheduled with Jennifer for my massage. Upon entering her cubicle, she asked me where were my trouble areas and what should she stay away from. I told her I carried my stress in my neck and shoulders. Please stay away from my hair. After she slimed my back she rubbed the oil from my back past my neck into my hair. Then when I flipped over she proceeded to rub my whole head with her oily hands. At this point I couldn’t do anything about it. Then she told me our time was at an end. Jennifer left the room. I got up and got re dressed she didn’t provide me with a robe or a basket for my clothes. I left the room and Jennifer was nowhere to be found. So I wandered back in by the fish tank. Then in previous visits we all sat out on the patio facing the lake. So I went there. I found my sister comfortably relaxing in her robe. She asked me where is your robe? I told her they didn’t give me one. Then our aestheticians came for our facials. Samantha was great. Now we go to check out. The gal at the reception area looked at my gift card. Said OK there’s only $60 on this account. And you had a massage and facial. So you owe $71. My sister was sitting behind me, and got up and spoke to the cashier. She explained I bought her a massage and A facial for Christmas. I bought one for my daughter to. And the gal at the desk said there’s only $60 on this gift card. Now it is 25 March and I have to call Lakeside Spa or the spa at Lakeside two get them to refund my money. I think this is totally unreasonable. I have planned another soirée for my friends and I.
