Tate's Home Decor & Custom Framing — Attraction in League City

I've used Tates in the past for one of my grandmother's antique paintings years ago. We live down the road and I called yesterday as I was curious if they could help me frame a simple poster for my son's Christmas gift. It's an XL movie poster and we were just getting prices at the time. I was aware prices would be high and that was not an issue. When we called, a lady answered yesterday and was beyond rude telling us "anything that big is going to be really pricy" with a snoody attitude and when I went to say that I understood, she hung up on me! Giving one star because I can’t give zero. I drove to this shop with a new born to buy a chair they said they would sell me. I get in the store and it has a price tag on the chair for $105 less than what she told me over the phone. I still agree to pay the price she asked. Then she states she will only take cash. So I leave to go get cash and call her back and she tells me over the phone she decided not to sell the chair after I drove out there unloaded a reloaded a baby to go get the cash. I haven’t received my framing yet but I’m not worried. This is a family owned business of over 50 years. Prices are same as you’d find at Michaels, but with a lot more care and interest. Greg spent a lot of time choosing the right framing and matting to make each picture pop. They also have a wonderful selection of home made frames of different sizes and types to put all those family photos. There’s also a great selection of original art that is very reasonably priced.
