Stellar Recovery by Shan (Store Manager) and Jason (District Manager) on Easter 2024. League City, Texas My wife and I order our Sunday Dinner after church here each Sunday. We decided to have our Easter Dinner from this store. We called ahead and paid for the ham, mashed potatoes, green beans and yeast rolls. We did the pick up on Saturday at 1:30pm and this is where things started going sideways. Upon arrival I checked in and was told I needed to "pull around back" and my order would be brought out. I thought that strange it was not being delivered curbside, but oookay. Once we get "around back" we waited and waited by the "dumpster", the door opens and out comes the kitchen staff with what can only be described as a mountain of garbage in multiple trash cans. In the middle of a trash run our box is brought out and the person wanted to open it to make sure our order was complete. By now my wife is getting and neither one of us could believe what's happening. As the person is saying good bye, I take the opportunity to mention, "they may not want to make future deliveries in this manner." Which was met with, "well the reason we do it back here is...To wit, I politely stated, "it's only a suggestion, and your choice, but future customers may feel as I do." Driving away I already knew what was about to happen and sure enough my wife called the store and requested to speak to the store manager and asked for the District manager's contact info to lodge a complaint. She was informed the manager wasn't on premise and no one could speak to the District Manager, but my wife was given the number to a relations associate...in Tennesse, we called and was informed our wait would be 30 minutes. My wife hung up and called back to the store and (Shan) the store manager answered the phone (she had been in the store all day). My wife asked for the DM contact information and Shan said, "he's right here (in the store) would you like to speak with him. His name was Jason, he listened and apologized and asked if we could return to the store and give him an opportunity to make our experience right. We live about 2 miles from the store, so we returned a spoke with Jason and Shan who made our experience right and helped us be a blessing to family at our church for Easter. Several changes were made on the spot, notably all pickups for Easter dinners were made curbside instead of the rear of the store. Our meal was superb and it was a pleasure to meet two of the nicest people who are working hard to make the League City store onr of the best of Cracker Barrel stores. We look forward to the returning to the store in the future.
Thank you Shan and Jason Happy Resurrection Day to you...
Read moreToday, I was on a mission to find a cross pendant for a chain necklace I received and certain colors of yarns I didn't have in my stash. So, before DL, ML and I got started, we decided to head south to get out and have breakfast first. You need energy đ to go shopping and do who knows what you spontaneously decide to do!!! Also, it gave all 3 of us the opportunity to try out Cracker Barrel. I had never been and it was ages since DL and ML had been. Plus, I had gift cards I wanted to use. It was popping at this location and we were told it would be about a 20 minute wait. No problem! We'll look around. I was amazed at how much merchandise Cracker Barrel had to offer! So, the wait time flew by almost in a flash! We were escorted to our table and Hannah, was there in no time to get our drink orders, but gave us enough time to actually look at the menus. We decided to share the Biscuit Beignets đ. DL went with the Old Timers Breakfast with plain hash browns, ML went with Grandma's French Toast (recommended from Hannah) and I went with Mommas Pancakes. The food was delicious đ and portionwise, right up my alley - filling, not overstuffing and no leftovers! (Remember, we wanted to shop and do other things!) Now, to the register and pay the tab. Darlene had a bit of a problem scratching the coating off of the pin, but got it and could run the gift card with no problem. But the second gift card was a different story! The coating/covering just didn't want to cooperate. Darlene was getting nervous. Anyway, when things start to go wrong, Murphy's law seems to kick in. Darlene finally got the coating off, but now she or I could not read the pin. And you just can't swipe it!!! So, Jamie, the floor manager was called in. Well, all of her options failed as well. Jamie had to go ask store manager. She came back and said they couldn't comp my gift card in store, but would replace it with a digital card. Meaning: she needed my telephone number and email. The store manager would contact me when sent. So, I had to pay up using a different payment method!!! Most of you know I try to find the positive wherever and whenever I can, but in this instance, Cracker Barrel's policies or guidelines are NOT customer friendly. I had a legitimate gift card which was ruined by no fault of my own! Real customer service would have some how compensated me. I did receive a phone call, but apparently did not receive an email in a timely manner (I have a very high junk mail folder and was looking for a reference to Cracker Barrel replacement card)! Alas, not a happy camper, when it comes to Cracker Barrel's policies đ The staff at...
Read moreMe and my mom came up here tonight thinking it was gonna be a good night. We brought our clients with us that have special needs. well I pre called earlier to make a reservation but the lady I spoke to told me I didnât need one and that they werenât busy at all. I was thinking ok cool. So when we got there we were told we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. I was like hold up, I called and yâall said we didnât have to have a reservation or wait. my mom explained to them we had special needs and they got us a table but they slapped on an extra 30 minute wait time.. it took an hour for us to get our food. I had to ask management if we could at least order and get something to drink. the waiter hardly came to check on us, we were on our second refill of drinks and one of my clients actually spoke up and asked them how long, our waiter told him itâs coming.. ok, 20 minutes later another family walks in and is seated. 10 minutes in they get their food.. I was like are you freaking kidding me??? I was pissed. weâve been waiting an hour but they just walk in and boom instant service. I had to literally keep asking management what was taking so long⌠management was doing everything he could to avoid us.. very bad management.. no one came to check on us once, without me speaking up, or giving looks. Our table was piling up with dirty dishes, they even asked us how many napkins we needed. Seriously? just freaking grab some. then our waitress told us they were giving us free dessert as a sorry for taking so long.. like thatâs gonna make up for the bad experience we just had.. I can understand they are packed but when another table walks in and it doesnât take long, you know damn good and well, they were putting us on the back burner.. I was giving them the benefit of doubt but when I saw that, I was livid.. our second round of drinks were watered down by the time we got our food. then when she brought us our tickets we still had a table full of dishâs and couldnât find any room to sort out the money and just walked off instead of clearing our table. Then she brought us the dessert and was handing it to us, like where the hell do you expect us to put this at?? my mom told her she needed to clear our table because we would have to eat ontop of the dirty dishes.. it was a very bad experience. We love Cracker Barrel but tonight just wasnât it for yâall. yâall need to work on your customer service and time...
