Poor Customer Service........again. This time I was trying to buy a Werner ladder that I had shopped on Amazon. I went to the aisle and it was blocked off so an employee could move pallets of shingles around. I knew which ladder I was after, I only needed him to hand it to me. I understand why customers can't be near the forklift, it is unsafe. I tried to get his attention for awhile. He finally looked directly at me then turned his back on me and continued working on the pallets. I went to the front of the store and asked two employees for help. They told me it was a safety concern. I told them I was in a hurry could someone please bring me the Werner ladder I wanted to buy. She tried to radio the forklift guy but apparently she couldn't get him to help her. She told me that she could not go past the safety barrier either. So I left. Don't blame Amazon for the demise of brick and mortar sales. I will order the Werner ladder from Amazon and it will arrive in a week. It will cost me $7 less than buying it from Home Depot. For me this is the second time the store came ahead of the customer. I have bought many large and small things from this Home Depot since they opened including alot of appliances. Not anymore.

Garbage service at the return desk. Will throw out any excuse to avoid processing a return or fulfilling warranty exchanges on tools. I was told, 'The Klein Tools pliers looked worn and used.' As if tools were meant to be showcase pieces. Also, would not process a return even with a receipt present because the card was not present. I had to ride out to the HomeDepot at 146 to process my return quick and swift without hesitation or excuses. They also fulfilled my tool warranty exchange for my Klein pliers without asking for a receipt or critiquing the condition of the pliers because it should not be required at Klein authorized dealers when it comes to hand tools.

After my home was flooded in Hurricane Harvey I purchased carpet and quartz countertops at this Home Depot. Needless to say neither one of these products were installed in my home.

When I purchased my carpet I selected and paid for the premium padding because it was a better fit for my wife who has arthritis. Come install day they show up with the cheapest padding that they sell. First the installer claimed to have spoken with my wife by phone and said that she okay'd the change (when my wife called they told her that they spoke with me by phone and that I had okay'd the change); then when confronted with their lies they said that the padding we ordered wasn't in stock and that we would have to wait until it was in stock. They could not give us an estimated time period and since we had been waiting for over a month by then we cancelled the order. We ordered the same carpet and padding across the street at Lowe's and it was special ordered and installed within two weeks.

My wife fell in love with the quartz at Home Depot for our kitchen countertops and the price seemed reasonable enough. Over a month after we purchased the countertops they finally called to come out and set up a measurement and draw the template for install. We were told to have the sink on site so that they could take it with them to adhere to the countertop. The first measurer came out and after spending two and a half hours in my kitchen measuring and drawing out layouts said that he could not complete the measure because the sink was not installed. He stated that he would be going out of town for the rest of the week but would return when he got back to complete the measurement if we were through. Apparently he had completed enough of the install to know that it would be an additional $600.00 on top of the $6,000.00 that we had paid for the countertops. I didn't hear anything from them until three weeks later. After three weeks of unanswered phone calls my wife finally got a hold of someone at the installer's office. They said that we would need to do the measurement all over again. When asked why it took them three weeks to tell us this they said that they had just found out that day from their measurer. Two weeks later, the second measurer came to my house. He tore apart my cabinets removing the plywood that was installed on them (which had been installed and okay'd by the first measurer) and then said that they would not install the countertop because the now damaged cabinet was 1/8 of an inch off in level. I noted that their first measurer and my contractor did not note anything wrong with the level of the cabinets and the company said that it did not matter. So after wasting nearly three months of my time, without countertops and a kitchen because I was waiting on them I have to start all over again!

I called Home Depot to expedite my refund and compensation for the cabinets that they ruined and was brushed off and told that I would get a call back.

Save yourself the headache and...

I went to place my second large order for me with this store. Because it was more than I could afford at once I used affirm. While online I was giving a total. I put this amount in and was authorized, placed the order. Immediately after I was texted that the amount was approved. Then back doored with another amount being denied. The denied amount around a 3rd of the price. But seeing the full amount being authorized didn’t think much of it. Went to pick up what was available in the store. On my first delivery date nothing showed up. I went to the store a was told there a different thing than online. To me Home Depot is Home Depot. They said I had to talk to .com. Like who is that. I paid you, you fix it. They wanted to refund me. I didn’t want that because it would be 2 loans twice the interests. Back and forth for 45 mins, with the pick up desk a manger finally came. To say there’s nothing they can do. They took their portion of the money and I had to call customer service. 5 phone calls later. 1 bad reaction on there side and hung up. 1 transferred me to the store that said they could not help me anther sent me back to the main menu. Then finally someone stay on the line and discuss it with me. His stand point the same. There’s different from the store or another part trust was delivering my large appliance. That even they charged there portion it was declined and the order was canceled. They could do nothing for me. This order was a couple thousand dollar. No one ever verbally reached out to me before canceling. I spent hours between the store and on the phone to be told hour there system works. This should not be my head ache as a customer. I order from Home Depot. Not 3 rd party appliance, there store, there where house. There was one total I got authorized for it and approved it. The final discrepancy was 100 dollars on a several thousand dollar order. I asked to fix it. Honor the original amount. Let me compensate. Take an item Off. they would not do it. I expect different from a large retailer like this. I should have not have to learn your billing. How you have your company sectioned off or all this other stuff. I’ll never shop with them again. Lowe’s now on. Hours of frustration phone call I finally get to a supervisor. Proceeded to stone wall me with a 100 dollar difference, then hang up. Never order from them only from them unless your ready for a tutorial on there billing and ready to track there multiple charges. Then there receipt does not reflect what your charge to the end. But has prices. But then savings is took out in the end. Beyond confusion. Feel like after the hours I had to put in to learn there business I should get a W-2. But could not even get my order fixed. Horrible, the worse online order of my life. Think it be easier to order directly from China....

I used to love this HD. Everyone is nice and friendly in the store, from paint dept, to cashiers and all the people around the store to help on packing & loading. I recently just purchased 67 case of LVP from this HD. 2 weeks later, it went on sale and the price dropped $200+ . I called to HD customer number to get the price difference, they transferred me back to the store, saying that this will need the store manager approval. Went into the store the second day and asked to speak with the manager. Unbelievable, never meet or hear of any manager like this one in League City HD. She was looking for all kind of excuses, not giving me the price difference back. I asked why, as it is still within 30 days, she first said, she doesn't want to keep on doing such thing, what if the price drops again? Well, I told her, I just need it to be adjusted this time, the next time, it will be passed 30 days, it won't be happening, then she was going on about I got those LVP in bulk quantities, I already received bulk price. She refused to price matched my order. I said then I have to return them, and reorder in new price She said I can always buying what I want, but she will NOT approve my return because now she already know what I wanted is the difference on the price. Omg, this is so screwed up! I called to HD customer number today again and explained the situation, the reps couldn't even believe what I said. As a customer, I have my right to request for price match within 30 days, I have my right to return within 90 days. The corporation rep asked 2 of other managers, and got an answer that the bulk quantities and price can be matched too. She helped me to called the store and spoke with that manager, now this manager, is using the excuse of 'this order past the 30 days price match time frame. She can't do it' With all the attitudes. Holy, how can a person like her manage such a big store? I will be reporting this to corporate, to BBB, to whatever...
