Went into this dicks to buy golfing attire because I had a date to the course. I took off my sunglasses because I know I was in a predominantly white area, all I had on was black scrubs and a small coach purse, I was using my break to hurry up and buy me a few things. I Went up to the golf section looking for just one outfit, I asked one of the employees who was folding up the clothes to show me where the dressing rooms were because I wanted to try them on. Let me remind you, I don’t buy golfing attire so that was my first time. I tried it on and didn’t like it because it was see through, I wanted something I didn’t have to wear a bra under. Nobody was around to give the clothes to when I was done, so I folded them up and put them back where I got them. Which the man who showed me where the dressing room were watched me put every single clothing I brought into the changing room back on the shelves. I ended up finding this cute fit in the tennis section that was my size and exactly what I was looking for. The manager, white man bald at the top, runs into the changing room to check under the stalls to see if I was still in there. I was near the employees who had walkies because after I found the outfit I wanted I went to buy golf shoes, saying “where’s the girl in the orange hair, you didn’t see where she went! She’s not in the stalls and there’s no clothing in the room” the employee proceeded to say, “why are you yelling, I just seen her fold the clothes and put it back.” I was standing right behind the man before finding the golf shoes as he turned around and seen me after telling their employees over the walkie that I stole clothing. But didn’t question or run up stairs when the white mom and the white daughter who also went in there. After all that, the employees were very helpful, even though the white manager told them all to watch me as I shopped. I spent $300+ dollars on a few items. The cashier lady was very nice. That’s the only reason why this place has 3 stars. I bet you I’ll never go back to this store ever again. And anybody I know that asks which dicks to go to. This will never be the place I would recommend. I work hospice, so having to deal with a patient dying right before I came there just to experience racism was the worst feeling ever, I also have to deal with racism at my job with patients and patients family. JUST SHOP ON AMAZON OR ANOTHER LOCATION, ITS NOT WORTH...
Read moreVery nice new fancy store. Service is very bad though. A few months ago I bought an item using some of my reward points for a portion of the total price. A few days later I brought the item back because there was a small hole in it, and wanted to just do a simple exchange. The worker at the cash register would no longer recognize the rewards points I used in the original purchase, so I had to pay the difference. If I was returning the item, I would understand this policy, but for an exchange seems wrong to me. Next, over the past weekend I came up to buy a new pair of shoes. The process they have in their shoe department is all screwed up. There were a hand full of staff members walking around bringing customers shoes to try on, but only one of them actually had a device to scan a shoe to check inventory and have someone bring it out to you. After being there for 25 minutes and only getting to try on a single pair of shoes, I decided to seek out the staff member who could get me a second pair to try on. As I politely approached him and started to ask, he cut me off and told me that he'd be over in a little bit. I'd already been there long enough and decided it wasn't worth the hassle and left the store without buying anything. I also want to note that the store was not busy at all during this time. Don't let the big fancy renovation fool you. The...
Read moreFirst, I want to compliment Michael in the shoe department. He did an EXCELLENT job and offered outstanding customer service. He was very busy and kept a positive attitude and worked very hard.
After choosing my shoes I went to check out. At this point in my visit I had an extremely rude cashier. I had a 20% coupon (that was given to me at packet pickup for the Thanksgiving 5K). The person in front of me bought the same brand of shoes, just in men's. His coupon was honored. Mine was not. I asked to speak to someone to clarify why I could not use the coupon. He said, "Even if I get a manager to talk to you, they won't tell you anything different than me." He was very short with me and appeared to be irritated by my presence and request. I walked out of the store and did not purchase the shoes. I will not give business to that kind of employee. It's unfortunate because Michael in the shoe department was outstanding.
The cashier was on the last cash register nearest the door. Tall, dark hair. I do not recall his name, but someone should help guide him in...
