We recently did the Batman escape room and let’s just say it was a challenge. Our group has tackled quite a few escape rooms, and we usually feel pretty confident. This one pushed us more than expected. The room itself looked great and had some strong visual appeal, but the puzzles felt more linear than what we’re used to. Instead of being able to split up and work on multiple things at once, we found ourselves crowding around one puzzle at a time. It got a little chaotic, and not in a fun way. If your group likes to divide and conquer, this setup might be frustrating. Some of the puzzle logic didn’t quite click. And at one point, we manipulated a part of the room that seemed like it was meant to be moved. Turns out, it wasn’t. It should have been a fixed element, and that misstep made the puzzle a lot harder to solve. That said, the facility was very nice and our host, Ryder, was fantastic. He gave clear instructions, set the tone well, and made us feel welcome. Overall, we had fun, even if this room wasn’t our favorite. We’d definitely come back to try another one and see if the next room fits our style a little better.

Wow! This escape room was so fun! My husband and I played THE LOST CITY. There are SO many options to choose from. Everything is sparkling new. The owner gave us sneak peaks of the other games and we cannot wait to return! Pirates, Scooby, Batman, and more. Every room feels so immersive and the themes are so present! I think there’s 8 different games! I can’t wait to bring my team in for a team building event. They have an event room too. The Escapology Escape Rooms Leawood location is awesome! The staff was so friendly. We escaped…. Barely!

My mom and I did the “Lost City”, which was the standard difficulty. Although some of the elements were challenging, we were able to escape with time to spare. It is on the higher end for escape room tickets- but the quality of the game in regards to design, creativity, and hospitality, it is absolutely worth the price. Will come again for DC’s Batman.

Disappointed, Especially Given the Price

My family of four recently did the Batman-themed escape room. I had high hopes going in—the photos looked amazing—and to be fair, the theming and production value are top-notch. The set design is immersive and clearly had a lot of care put into it.

That said, the room itself is very small—maybe 8 x 24 feet—and it felt cramped even with just the four of us. I can’t imagine doing it with a larger group. As other reviews mentioned, the puzzles are extremely linear, so only one or two people are actively involved at a time while the rest of the group stands around waiting. That made it hard to stay engaged and enjoy the experience as a team.

This was the most expensive of the seven escape rooms we’ve done, and unfortunately, the overall experience just didn’t measure up. Going forward, I think I’ll stick to places where the rent isn’t so high and they can put more substance into the puzzles instead of just flash...

My friends and I have done 3 rooms at Escapology in the last two weeks and are planning to finish them all. The puzzles are engaging and perfect for a small team of family or friends. They give you as many clues as you want/don’t want. The environment is very clean and inviting. If you go on a weekday you can get 20% off if you book through their website and they give you a 20% off coupon for next time every time you visit! So glad we found this place.

We’ve done Murder Mansion, Scooby Doo, and Pirate’s Curse and they were all fabulous. Three of us were able to finish Pirate’s Curse in 35 minutes, but we did accept a few hints along the way. Mansion was definitely the most challenging and we escaped with only 30 seconds remaining, but the puzzles were so fun. I think my favorite was Scooby Doo for the nostalgia aspect, but am a firm believer that every room Escapology curates will be an...
