We recently did the Batman escape room and letâs just say it was a challenge. Our group has tackled quite a few escape rooms, and we usually feel pretty confident. This one pushed us more than expected.
The room itself looked great and had some strong visual appeal, but the puzzles felt more linear than what weâre used to. Instead of being able to split up and work on multiple things at once, we found ourselves crowding around one puzzle at a time. It got a little chaotic, and not in a fun way. If your group likes to divide and conquer, this setup might be frustrating.
Some of the puzzle logic didnât quite click. And at one point, we manipulated a part of the room that seemed like it was meant to be moved. Turns out, it wasnât. It should have been a fixed element, and that misstep made the puzzle a lot harder to solve.
That said, the facility was very nice and our host, Ryder, was fantastic. He gave clear instructions, set the tone well, and made us feel welcome.
Overall, we had fun, even if this room wasnât our favorite. Weâd definitely come back to try another one and see if the next room fits our style a...

My family of four recently did the Batman-themed escape room. I had high hopes going inâthe photos looked amazingâand to be fair, the theming and production value are top-notch. The set design is immersive and clearly had a lot of care put into it.
That said, the room itself is very smallâmaybe 8 x 24 feetâand it felt cramped even with just the four of us. I canât imagine doing it with a larger group. As other reviews mentioned, the puzzles are extremely linear, so only one or two people are actively involved at a time while the rest of the group stands around waiting. That made it hard to stay engaged and enjoy the experience as a team.
This was the most expensive of the seven escape rooms weâve done, and unfortunately, the overall experience just didnât measure up. Going forward, I think Iâll stick to places where the rent isnât so high and they can put more substance into the puzzles instead of just flash...
Read moreMy friends and I have done 3 rooms at Escapology in the last two weeks and are planning to finish them all. The puzzles are engaging and perfect for a small team of family or friends. They give you as many clues as you want/donât want. The environment is very clean and inviting. If you go on a weekday you can get 20% off if you book through their website and they give you a 20% off coupon for next time every time you visit! So glad we found this place.
Weâve done Murder Mansion, Scooby Doo, and Pirateâs Curse and they were all fabulous. Three of us were able to finish Pirateâs Curse in 35 minutes, but we did accept a few hints along the way. Mansion was definitely the most challenging and we escaped with only 30 seconds remaining, but the puzzles were so fun. I think my favorite was Scooby Doo for the nostalgia aspect, but am a firm believer that every room Escapology curates will be an...
