Giant Food — Attraction in Leesburg

If I could give this store less than 1 star I would!!! I have not been back in 3 months per my last review but unfortunately I went there today to pick up money from Western Union, bad idea!!! The "customer service" desk employee was beyond rude, and actually made it seem like she could not give me my money. Money that was already paid for to be sent to me via Western Union. She asked if she could give me a money order instead of cash. I refused, and she refused to give me money because she claimed they did not have it. Well of course I asked to see a manager who then pretended I was not standing right there and asked her if I did not want the money order? I guess this is a regular occurrence at this location. Well, the manager got the cash, because I knew the store had the cash and I will not return. I spent no money at this location, I will shop else.

Buyer beware!!

This is one of the worst customer service Giant Supermarket locations I have ever been to. The blonde female "customer service" manager is one of the worst examples of customer service I have ever seen. While there are a few pleasant employees at this location I cannot get over the ones who go out of their way to be rude. My money is as green as the next person and i will gladly take it to one of the many other local supermarkets. I go here mainly for the gas discount, however the poor treatment I consistently receive had made it not...

We stop in Giant when we're in the neighborhood visiting our family. After getting the few items we needed, we went to checkout where the associate Scott had been standing away from the customers as they checked out. Once my wife, son, and myself (African American) went to checkout, he moved closer. I'm bagging our groceries as my wife is swiping. She says to me that she feels uncomfortable because he is hovering close to us while there's other white customers ringing out. So I just said to her I'm going to speak on it once we finish. She missed swiping a product and set it on the machine. Before I can pick up the product to swipe it again the associate says that wasn't swiped. So, at this point, I'm highly pissed. I'm already pissed that you're hovering over the only black ppl checking out while there are 3 other white families checking. At this point, I'm being racially stereotyped. How many times have ppl swiped a product and had to swipe it again, or maybe even a third or a fourth time. THAT IS EMBARRASSING!!!! To be black in America is a struggle. We have racist white ppl like Scott who need to not work with the public or need some classes on race, diversity, and inclusion. I spoke with the store manager, who said he would have a talk with him. What's a talk when it will continue. And he possibly does it to the wrong person who won't...

I've been loyal to the Giant brand for years but huge shout out to the employees who work here. I came in early this morning (3/14/20) because I know everyone is panicked about Coronavirus right now and I needed some groceries. A customer in the parking lot told me that they had been almost completely wiped out last night and I came in and could tell that there were more employees than usual restocking. They had most of the shelves restocked, even if there were only a couple things in places. One woman even asked the employee restocking if he had an item and he showed her exactly what he had on his cart as well as helped her find an item she had simply overlooked because it was below eye level. I am so very grateful to all the employees of this Giant. You all are seriously front line fighters against fear and panic. Also, the sanitizing wipes for carts was stocked for anybody who wanted to use it. Keep kicking butt and thank you again!!! Updating 8/25/22: Still love this Giant! The renovation looks great and everyone is always really nice. Can't believe it's been two years since I wrote this review. Keep being awesome, Giant! Updating 2/21/23: Still my local Giant and still loving it -- they're usually very clean and well stocked and I really enjoy the wide variety of products they have! Plus, the team members are all super helpful...
