Edit- After what happened the owner of the bar reached out to my friend and I to apologize for the events that took place. He said he spoke to his staff and his wife and realized that what happened was not okay. He stated the bar does not have a dress code for women, and that he will not allow the bouncers to refuse entrance or make a women cover up based on their clothing anymore, even if people complain. I appreciate his honesty and integrity in approaching us to rectify the situation. I genuinely enjoy this bar, the drinks are good and well priced and the food is honestly delicious. I would recommend the nachos and a pink starburst or Irish trash can drinks. Hopefully there wonāt be any other incidents and I am looking forward to going back to the bar.
I had enjoyed my first few times to the bar but after my past visit I will not be returning. I am a heavier girl, and there is nothing wrong with that. But the bouncers have started singling me out and ādress codingā me because I am wearing crop tops just like every other girl there, only difference is that I am larger. I donāt like to limit what I wear based on my size and I was honestly very hurt by the obvious bias they had towards skinnier girls. In the group of friends I went with my outfit was less revealing than one of my friends but only I was singled out as being inappropriate. Multiple people I have spoken too have said this is not the first time they have done this, including a former employee I ran into in the bathroom, who said they pulled this kind of stuff when she worked here and it was one of the reasons she left the job. Yes the food is good, but the atmosphere has become toxic. Look for another place to enjoy yourself,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was emailed about a job opportunity and asked to apply. After applying I was contacted very shortly after and asked to come in to TRAIN later in the week. I was very excited about the opportunity and prepared to start work. Considering I was under the impression that an offer to come in and train was an offer of employment, as any intelligible person would be, I declined interviews and job offers elsewhere considering I was no longer searching for employment. The day of my ātrainingā I was on hold with SS for over 20 minutes when the establishment calls. I promptly click over thinking it was of importance pertaining to my scheduling. I was very sadly mistaken. I was informed that theyād chosen to āgo with another applicant and there is no need to come in for training.ā In my very humble opinion as a business owner myself this was not only extremely unprofessional but very much rude. I feel as though my time was wasted and could have been better spent applying and interviewing for more kind hearted positions elsewhere. So not only did I get an offer of employment revoked I lost my place on hold with SS. Iād never in a million years run my hiring process this way. In my 8+ years of experience in this industry I have never experienced such disregard for my time and mental health. This is completely unacceptable behavior from any employer but especially in times where people are be going for good, reliable employees such as myself. I would have been much more understanding if this was a revocation of an interview but it was not an interview it was an offer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place isn't a Saturday dinner spot at all. Full-volume line dancing (meaning diners also got to hear each song twice, including shouted step calls).
Our fault for not looking this up, but who starts line dancing at 5-6PM instead of after dinner? Serving food wasn't the priority to this establishment.
It took us thirty minutes to place an order from the time we sat down, and another forty to get our food. We made it to our reserved table at 5:45PM and had to talk to the manager and other staff about cancelling our food once the clock struck 6:45PM. Miraculously, the food came about ten minutes later but was cold/had been sitting. We were given vouchers for free appetizers from the manager but that doesn't correct this, nor will we go back to use them.
Food was great minus being cold, all fountain drinks tasted awful (poor water quality or like cleaning/filtration), and after waiting twenty minutes for lemon to hopefully improve the taste of our waters and sodas: I had to go bother a bartender to actually acquire some.
Erica/Erika (spelling): you didn't care to serve us from the moment we sat down, and it showed in your attitude toward us the entire time. Rather than be apologetic for the delay or just agreeing to help us cancel our order and get on our way, you made excuses and had no interest in talking to us while looking us...
