I would not even give them a star. I could not log into my email account on my computer, but it worked on my iPhone. There was a link 'if you are having problems logging in' and I clicked on it and read some one from my email carrier would contact me. About 1 hour later a woman called, I actually thought she was from the email carrier. She had me open my (I know, I am usually a lot smarter than this) password key chain and give her the password to my computer (I know, I know). She took control of the computer and said the technician would take care of it and passed me to the technician. He said it would take a few hours. I asked if I needed to stay by computer. He said no. A few hours later I get a call from another technician - he told me they were closing soon and they did not have time to work on my computer. I explained what I had been told. His name was Jeff. He told me I was never transferred to a technician (then whom was I speaking with before). He also called to tell me the computer was 'asleep' and I needed to go to the computer. I explained the previous technician told me I did not have to be home. At that point I realized there was something wrong. I told him I wanted to cancel the purchase immediately. I had to call on Monday to confirm this was done. However, since that time I have started to get all of these spam messages which can be traced back to my fast pc; spam calls from Africa and France. That NEVER happened before. I had to change all the passwords. I called my email carrier and THEY fixed the problem, for FREE. My fast pc should be ashamed of themselves. You think you are safe because of the way they present their add, include the fact they are based in Utah, again you feel they are safe. They are NOT and they will HARM your computer. Don't fall for...
Read moreThe perple I talked to and worked with are great. Right now I need to know via an e-mail how to get in touch with a technician because I'm having a couple problems: 1. I received notification that Mozy was NOT backing up anything and HAS NOT been doing anything from the beginning of my relationship with Fast PC. The notice instructed me to initiate back-up program which I did; however, I have not received any confirmation that Mozy is now operational and successful. 2. I've been notifiedthat I need to upgrade Adobe Reader. I clicked the install now button and a program was dowloaded; nothing happened; I clicked 2 mortises and each time a download occurred but NOT an installation of the program. I clicked on the 1st download and tapped the install now button but got a message to the effect Do you really want to install this program because it's installed directly from hte Internet, implying that to do so would be dangerous. Is it dangerous? I was told I need Adobe Reader for many programs to operate correctly; is this also true? What should I be doing to deal effectively with each of...
Read moreMonths ago I accuired a highjakjer which got me also several viruses and a trojan. Took laptop to a shop and got it working, but not like it should. After hooking up with Century Link and Savis my laptop got even worse - slow, jumping from one site to another, going crazy. Called Century Link and got routed eventually to MyFastPC. Daniel and Derek were very courteous, patient and although I was hesitant to spend so much money I was at a loss as to what to do. They talked me into accepting your service. After looking into my computer they said the prior tech didn't know what he was doing because I still had a trojan and viruses along with 128 processes running. After they did their thing and told me I was all fixed, took my money, left me with 129 processes running and a highjaker that drove me crazy, I canned the laptop, spent $560 for a new Toshiba. They claimed they did their job and got my money, left me with a big screwing up my rear-end. Not happy with MFPC and will tell everyone I know to stay away from you. David Powers not...
