My husband and I stayed for our first time at Hilton Garden Inn this last weekend, as a quick get away. We have traveled a lot the last couple years, and stayed at many different hotels. I was shocked at how clean this place was, from the lobby, restaurant, bar, and our room. With the pandemic that we all have went through this last year and a half, cleanliness is huge to me. Other hotels could learn something from this place, and how it is ran. I was very impressed, not only with the cleanliness, but the staff is so friendly, helpful, and took great care to make us happy and comfortable. Check in was quick, Tony was a welcoming treat, from what Ive experienced at other places. Rooms are nicely decorated, with a great view of Thanksgiving point. Bed was comfortable, and something I really appreciated was all of the charging stations throughout the room, for me thats huge because my husband and I usually fight over them. Closet was huge, with storage bins, making everything I needed easily accessed. The gym was very well equipped with medicine balls, stability balls, cardio machines, weights, foam roller, mats, T.Vs, earbuds, water, and towels. The pool is indoors which normally I wouldn't have liked since I like getting some sun on vacation, however the hot tub is outside, and they also have lounge chairs outside as well, So smart on there part utilizing all seasons here in Utah. The restaurant wasn't open for us to sit down and dine, but was open for room service. Extremely polite staff in there as well. My husband got the special which was Steak, frites and bacon wrapped asparagus. I got the Korean style steak bowl. We also got chicken wings as a starter, and a cheesecake to share for dessert. I am somewhat fussy with my food, because most places over salt and don't offer anything healthy, however my bowl was made perfectly, My husbands steak was also made to order, which doesn't happen very often, its usually overcooked, or under cooked. I will definitely stop by the restaurant again even when not staying the night, just to try more of what they have to offer. For breakfast I liked that I could order my omelet exactly how I wanted it made, and they actually had wheat toast. They have a buffet style breakfast and then also have where you can order other items, the only thing I would recommend on there breakfast is to have a sign, to explain what is to be done, all it said was to seat yourself, I saw quite a few people do exactly what we did. Sit down, look around and wonder if you were to just go to the buffet, or wait to be waited on. However the staff was super friendly and once I spoke to Jimi the supervisor that took my order, he explained everything, and took care of us. I normally dont review places, unless they were horrible and I want to warn others, or when they are fantastic and I want to recommend them. I put a few details in this review because every time I am looking for a place to stay, this is what Im looking for, DETAILS. I give this place a...
Read moreSo in my business as a hotshot trucking owner operator I get to travel to some really cool places occasionally. This was definitely a cool place so I was here all weekend waiting to offload Monday so I decided to treat myself and make this a work vacation. So I looked for a hotel with a bar and restaurant more of a Rarity to these days. Just led me to this hotel. Sure it was a little more than I'd like to spend but worth every cent. From the front desk clerk Maniq (?) Who I immediately was impressed with, his willingness to help and professional demeanor, to the minute I walked in my room. I would say this is one of the finer hotels that I have stayed in. The room was sparkling clean and very nicely furnished. I enjoyed the shower with a nice size bathroom for a change. I have to say looking out to the scenic background of mountains really added to the overall enjoyment and vibe I felt here. So as I mentioned earlier, after I settled in in my room and took a relaxing hot shower, I went down to the bar to check out the restaurant as well. To enjoy a cold beer and a hot meal. I went with her daily special which was the flank steak quesadilla. They were good but being from Texas, you can't have quesadillas without guacamole and pico de gallo. Bartender was amazing and I had a really enjoyable evening. May have had too good of an evening before I was cut off LOL. I'm really impressed and respect the young lady bartender for doing so. Overall I had several beers and mixed drinks, tip, plus a meal and only spent under $100. Next morning I wanted to sleep in but my internal clock was set on Texas time and when I'm on the road I'm used to waking up at 6:00 a.m. so I went down and enjoyed the restaurant breakfast options as I described below. Sure you don't get free breakfast but he wants those continental breakfast with subpar ingredients. This was a quality breakfast with everything you needed. I opted for the Omelette which was a good choice. So I'm there through tonight but after I going offload if I can't find a load I may stay another night you know. I thought about the pool or Fitness room which looked really nice. If you're on the fence and watching a great place to stay close to everything. You couldn't find a better place at a decent rate. As I write this on eating at Slapfish right around the corner but there were so many choices it was...
Read moreWe stayed here for 3 nights over Labor Day weekend to visit my sister’s fiancé’s family, and my parents stayed in a separate room. I spent a lot of time looking for what I thought would be the best hotel in the area, but we also knew this was Lehi and that the options were limited to what “best” really meant. After our experience, I honestly wish we had chosen somewhere else or an Airbnb.
My room itself was fine, but it was only cleaned once during our stay. By cleaned, I mean they replenished the towels and made the bed once. I wasn’t expecting Four Seasons service, but I did think they could have at least replaced the towels a second time.
The worst part was Sunday morning when we went down for breakfast at 8:45am. It was busy, which we understood, but there were 4 empty tables covered in dirty dishes that stayed that way for over an hour. I asked the waitress if she could clear one so we could sit, and while she said she would, nothing happened. We ended up sitting at the bar, where we waited over an hour for our food. The whole situation felt chaotic, and it seemed like the staff was more focused on clearing out the buffet area than helping guests find a table and enjoy their meal.
My parents also had to deal with a room connected to one with loud children who kept banging on the door. Thankfully, the hotel did let them move rooms, which was the only positive. Still, my dad looked at me at one point and said he was so disappointed in this hotel and told me it was “awful.” I had to agree with him - we definitely will not stay here again on...
